The small kit lied flat on his back near the nursery, round face and tummy both looking up at the grey sky. For once he had kept still for quite a while now, unusually so for the usually so restless kit. His lavender gaze followed the clouds, smiling as he noticed one shaped like a little flower. Maybe it was a dandelion. If his family could see the same clouds as he did, wherever they were? Ever since he had been brought here he had spent little thought on them, sure in their eventual return to his side and occupied with his new strange surroundings. But the possibility of that happening seemed to be abyssmal small by now.

He loved everyone he had gotten to know here in this strange... ForestClan, every caretaker, every warrior and all his new friends, but... sometimes, whenever he paused and his mind strayed to farther places, he missed them. His siblings, his papa, his mumma... Surely they'd be sad to not know where he had gone off to, to not find him anywhere. Otherwise they'd long have joined him here.

Ivorykit rolled back on his stomach with a sigh, staying flat on the ground like a pancake for a couple more minutes before finally jumping on his paws. He stretched himself thoroughly, bones audibly crackling, and looked around. Well, if they'd come, they would. Otherwise he'd just go look for them sometime! Mumma would surely be proud to see him not get lost then!

The pale kit turned a couple of times in a circle, his head dizzying from the motion and he nearly keeled over. With a stumbling step he caught his balance, shook himself, and dashed off in the direction he had seen Charredkits dark pelt just before! He skid to a halt, kicking up dust and earth and nearly falling straight on his nose as he did, near her. "Cinchey! What'cha doin?", he asked with a beaming smile.
Charredkit flicks her ears back, simply enjoying the fresh breeze of leaf-fall. Refreshing and not painfully hot that scorches your pelt off. She closes her sage eyes, whiskers twitching with a pleasant feeling. The grass tickled her fur with a light coat of dew, wildflowers touching her nose at where she lay.

Pondering for a few seconds, she opens her eyes to the bright, blinding sun, eye's squinted to see the pale clouds. Her mind wanders off for a little, thinking of the clan. It wasn't bad at all. But she didn't want to get to close to them. She didn't want the grasp of comfort in case they want to abandon her. Or sacrifice, who knows what wicked things are going in on here?

The kit shakes her head of those revolting thoughts, wrinkling her muzzle at her ugly mind. They gave her shelter and food, how much more greedy could she get? If her siblings were here, they would be enjoying it to their best benefit. The contemplation was hurting her brain. Charredkit lets out a long sigh, letting herself plop onto her front paws with a light thump, mumbling a few words of gibberish.

The sound of skittering, falling, and dirt kicking up towards her, leads her to believe it was the reckless Ivorykit. Out of the corners of her eyes, she sees a stumbling pale furred kit, causing a playful scoff to escape her mouth. Erupting into light-hearted giggles, a small grin replacing her neutral face. "Nothin' really. You runnin' from somethin'?"Charredkit teases the other kit, a rumble escaping her throat as she thumps the ground with her tail, gesturing for him to take a seat.
Ivorykits ears twitched and without any hesitation he plopped on his butt right next to her, like a sack of potatoes. He liked Cinchey! She was fun and nice and- fun! Yes! Even if by now he had forgot whatever name she had told him on their first meeting, she was Cinchey now to him. ”Yes, yes”, he chuckled and leaned forward in an almost secretive manner, lavender blue gaze playfully twinkling. Her remark had reminded him of the 'leaf monster' that Fangkit had played a couple of days ago, an act appearing so real Honeysucklekit believed in its existence even now. He had felt bad then… but why not use it to spin a story, now?

He lowered his voice as if to try and not be heard, his eyes widened in feigned fear,  ”There's been a monster after me! Tall and looming and it tried to grab me-”, slowly he crouched closer to Charredkit with each word whispered, until their noses nearly touched, ”But!” After a suspenseful pause he sat himself upright with a triumphant momentum, a big grin on his face, ”I thought fast and ran! Like the wind! It had no chance to catch me!”

His short tail wagged against the ground with fervor. It had just started as a silly story but got his adrenaline spiking. He wanted to do something! Anything! Ivorykit had always had trouble keeping still, he needed to keep his paws busy with something, similar to how quickly his thoughts flitted from one aspect to another. Hmm, maybe they could play something? Or imitate the apprentice’s training? If Charredkit was up to it. His thoughts still unspoken, he stared at her with a sliver of expectation, that sliver being the full power of the sun.
Charredkit flattens her ears against her head with an inquisitive look, a curious gleam in her eyes. She leans into him back as he does, bopping her nose. "Wow...!" She almost interjects to say she was there, just attacked by Lilypaw in the meanwhile. The memory causes her to pale the slightest bit, causing a shudder to run down her spine. She ruffles the fur on her neck to shake it, mumbling barley enthusiastic.

"Nice- you'd be a great warrior." She offers him a stiff smile, feeling like she was too down for a happy moment of the other. She was just being too dramatic. There should be no reason for her to act like this. Charredkit cocks her head to the side and replaces the shaky smile with a grin, speaking up, "Good job lil bud!" The kit ruffles his head, gently bumping his side.

She doesn't have any more words. Just a few words of cheer would be enough, she never congratulated with much glee. Ivorykit wouldn't be able to tell. Maybe. Hopefully. The sensation of dread pokes at her gut, and she feels weak. She shouldn't be like this towards such an encounter. Her gaze moves from the dusty earth to his eyes, noticing his uncontained excitement.

"What d'you want to do?"
Obviously he'd be a great warrior! To the extent of his capabilities anyway. "Thanks! You will be a great warrior, too, one day!" He smiled at his friend and affectionately nudged her back, unaware of her troubled mind. Ivorykit wasn't particularly great at picking up on these type of things, he'd never really be. Unless she broke into tears or directly talked with him, he would not notice, at least not easily. And Charredkit didn't seem the type to bluntly share her thoughts, landing the two at an emotional stalemate for the moment.

The simple-minded kit jumped to his paws at her words, lavender eyes sparkling with an excitement that needed to be redirected to a place it couldn't explode. "Something! We could play? Mossball maybe!" His gaze flitted around, landing on the nursery entrance. Surely he could find a piece of moss in there, even if it may be part of nest clothing! It wasn't like anyone needed it... right?

For a couple of heartbeats he contemplated this idea, tilting his head from one side to the other, before shaking it. It was still an option, but he really didn't want to steal someone's bedding. "Or maybeeee, we could, you know, train?", the pale tom looks back to his peer,  "We are already 4 moons old, we're old enough to learn at least a little bit! I've watched the apprentices, it seems fun!"

Well, he had observed Onepaw for a bit and tried to imitate whatever sort of weird walk that apprentice had been practicing, but in the end Ivorykit only accomplished a fall on his nose.
Charredkit hums in acknowledgment at his kind words, agreeing with the other. She thought he would end up as a great warrior, y’know, with his positive mindset and all. She hopes he never stops being such a sunshine-y goofball. It’ll be okay, as long as she ignored the feeling in her gut and simply enjoyed the moment with Ivorykit

She tips her head the other way as he suggests moss ball, contemplating it for a second before shrugging. ”That sounds fine with me,” Her eyes crinkle in the corners as he basically sparkles, overflow with a radiating positivity. He was silly. Although she doesn’t know if there would be any moss around, she stands up to take a look around.

The charcoal-colored kit peeks a glance back to him and makes eye contact as she stops in her tracks . ”Dude yeah- I don’t even know what they do, but if you tell me the gist I think we got it! I’ll be an apprentice next moon I think, it’ll work out well.”Charredkit has a devilish look on her face now, one might think she was pondering about causing trouble. That aside, she realizes he’s a moon younger than she is.

”I get to be an apprentice before you.” She proudly claims despite not having to do anything to achieve this feat, grinning genuinely from ear to ear at him. Her gaze hovers over to the trees, and then back to Ivorykit, nudging him with mischievous eyes.
