"Who was there for you in a time of great need?"

Semesta laid on the floor holding a pen, twirling it in their hands. Underneath it was a sheet of paper, that they kept staring at thinking. On it, in big letters was “The Skire Scoop” and a question underneath it "Who was there for you in a time of great need?", there was more on it. But, it wasn't important to them.

Semesta had found it outside earlier in the day and thought, why not answer it? If only it was that simple.... They had many ideas about how to answer it, younger times and those who guided them, or even when they got older and those whose acts developed their personality. At first they started writing all of their answers on another paper, then another and another. And it took them a bit to pull back and see how many were there for them on all of those papers. It was just... they didn't seem like times of great need. The ones who guided them did help, sure, but they per say didn't need it. They were turning out fine at the time. Then those whose actions developed their outlook on things and personality? Could they even say it was a time of great need?

So now there they were, laying on the ground thinking about this question while staring at the paper. Their other responses laid strewn about slightly crumpled from being pushed away. Their tail slightly swishing about as they got an idea. Each idea came with points and a star map of important moments. Each and every time they thought they had it before realizing that it wasn't that great of a need.... Once that thought occurred, their tail slapped to the ground with a loud 'thwunk'. This was a lot harder than Semesta had originally thought. If only it was that easy...

It was a few days later before a thought clicked. “Who was there for you?”... Did the 'who?' have to be another? There was times they needed help badly and times that they didn't. Each of those times, they usually picked themselves up, through thick and thin. They always shined brightly in all of those times. Without delay they went for the paper again, writing down their answer and then neatly tucking it away to be sent off. Sometimes it was that easy, you just need to be easy on yourself. If it was their answer, then to them, it wasn't wrong.
