This was a crack ship event for valentine's day and ProfessionalDumbass was my secret cupid, so he had to do a crack ship between Oz and Veritas and I honestly loved it.

Mind some company?

The posh voice of a vampire came from behind Veritas. Looking over the back of the snow covered bench Veritas saw the red haired man. Dressed in his usual bar man’s uniform. A grin as wide as his face that never seemed to leave his face shining ever brightly. For a moment, Veritas considered telling him to go kick rocks. But- he was too tired. This day was rough on him, no matter how he spent it. It wouldn’t hurt to have some company right?

Fuck you, Cmon blood sucker

A chuckle escaped Oz’s lips as he slipped around the far side of the bench. His strange shadow magic reaching out to brush at the snow accumulating on the seat beside the mercenary. Veritas didn’t even bat any eye at it anymore, he just considered it a little bit of weirdness of Oz that was admittedly…interesting.

So what makes ya think I need yer company tanight

Isn't it obvious? We’re both alone, why not be alone together?” The vampire spoke as if it were the most obvious answer to a stupid question. But all that did was make Veritas scoff.

I ain’t ever alone man, I could call up about five people and like that I’d have a date or a drinking buddy!” He spoke loudly, waving his hand in the air while rolling the wrist. He didn’t look at Oz while speaking, choosing instead to stare at the frozen lake. He wondered if he could jump inside.

Well I’m not sure if you would call this a date, but we have had a few drinks together right? Besides I think on that list of yours I’m one of those five aye~?

Oh shove it up yer tail pipe geezer.” Veritas shoved Oz’s shoulder with his own as a small chuckle escaped his lips. He was right but Veritas was not going to be the one to let him know. What little pride he had left wouldn’t allow it… but then again. Oz was right about another thing.

Today is always hard on me, feels almost empty, like I'm missing something in my chest.

Well, I can’t replace her. But I can be here for you. If that makes any difference

Veritas turned to the Vampire, finally looking him in the eyes. Brilliant blue met dull green. The two men sharing a moment where they could safely say they were not alone. They had lost much in their lives, suffered tragedies but in that one brilliant moment, they were together.

Fuck you

Love you too Veritas

Yeah yeah yeah. Cmere ya skinny shit” Veritas would reach his arms around Oz and pull him into a tight hug. One that would be reciprocated, and given a small hum in response.

Happy Valentine’s Day Oz
