Please note there is mention of a mass causality event / terrorist attack in this story. One does not happen but the characters do talk about one possibly occurring.

“Ah come on, Aislinn. You really don’t want to come with us to the Candy Crush Ball? It’ll be a blast!”

Tyrant whined hoping they could convince their sister to join in on the festivities. However she didn’t spare them a glance from the magazine she was currently reading.

“I certainly hope not. Although if I was to attack it, that’s how I would do it. Make it a mass casualty event, it would make it difficult to discern the true victim.”

Tyrant stared at her, “you know, sometimes I forget you used to be an assassin, then you say something like that so off cuff.”

This did make her raise an eyebrow at them, though she didn’t add anything.

“Okay okay okay, I get it, you’re worried about an attack and that’s fair I suppose. BUUUUUUUUT what if I get Sissy to go too? With her powers we could notice if a lot of people are about to die all at once and just leave the party ahead of time! Problem solved.”

While Tyrant was looking quite happy with themselves, Virginia’s voice softly sounded as she came down the stairs and  into the room.

“Tyrant, that's a horrible thought! I hate to disappoint you but I’m not going anyway. You all know I don’t like being around big groups of people anyway…”

Aislinn let out a chuckle. “Too bad Tyrant, better luck next time. Have a good time at that ball.”

They pouted at their defeat. “Yeah but I don’t want to go alone. I mean, Dad’s going to but it just won’t be as interesting without you guys.”

A stern voice cut through the air as Silas came into the room, adjusting his cufflinks.

“Enough. Neither of them wish to go and that’s their right Tyrant. So stop, cease and desist child.”

With a hmph Tyrant exited the room commenting that they would go finish getting ready now.

Virginia smiled and bowed her head to Silas.

“T-thank you, for helping Mr. Silas.”

He nodded at her while Aislinn smiled. “Yes, you’ve saved us yet again.”

“It really wasn’t anything to thank me over, ladies. Will you both be alright tonight? I can have Gordon on standby if you’d like.”

The fallen Sweetical shook her head.

“We’ll be fine. I can defend us both if it comes to that, which I doubt. I’m more worried about you honestly. Are you sure you have to go?”

She fidgeted with her magazine, her eyes giving away that she was quite worried.

“Thank you for your concern Aislinn. It means a lot. I don’t particularly wish to attend this event; however, I feel better if Tyrant had a chaperone for this. If something were to happen, I can help ensure their safety.”

His words seemed to satisfy her. Virginia hugged him.

“Please be safe.”

He softly patted her head. “I shall take every precaution my dear.”

She stepped away from him and nodded while Tyrant came back into the room. They were adorned in golden fabric, a mixture of feminine and masculine elements on display in the outfits design.

“Father, I'm ready if you are. I even got my notebook and recorder. I’m going to learn so much about so many Sweeticals! I wonder if Diamont will be there too? I’m so excited! Let’s just get going already! I can’t wait!”

The three others laughed as Tyrant rushed out of the manor.

After bidding the two girls farewell and his staff as well, Silas departed. This was going to be a long night of questions for him no doubt, he didn’t often go down to the planet after all; however, it was all for Tyrant's happiness so he could handle some light interrogation from his peers.
