caltrops a child!

"Oh you little child, don‘t worry about it all too much. 'Tis a blessing our Lord has given you as a gift, you should be grateful for it, Caltrop." the acolyte spoke as they were crouching down to be on a lower level to speak with Caltrop. "But, does that really mean I will have eyes growing on my body for my whole life??" Caltrop asked, and fear can be heard in its voice. "Well, that’s just something our Lord can know, we will have to just wait and see.", "I do not want to have more eyes than I already do!" it exclaimed, looking at the acolyte talking with them. "Caltrop, 'tis a blessing. You should thank the Overseer for making you one of the lucky few demons who have been blessed.", in response, Caltrop just stayed quiet, looking down on the floor.

"Now then, let‘s get you to your room, 'tis late already." the acolyte said, going back to their normal stance, looking down at Caltrop. It simply nodded in response.

The door to its room was closed, and soon after, Caltrop dropped on their knees in the middle of the room, intertwining their hands and placing them in front of its chest.

"My Lord, Overseer, just why have you given me such blessing?" they cried out, trying its best to be quiet. "I am.. grateful, but why is it like this? I do not want to be like this! I do not want to question your plans and know everything has its reasoning, but I do not understand how this can be a blessing! I am trying my best to feel good about it, but it is difficult! Please, heal me of this.. this curse!" Caltrop stopped, to take a few breaths before continuing. "Please forgive me, my God, for how I have talked to you, I did not intend to sound ungrateful or anything of such kind. I am thankful to have been blessed by you." it said at the end, voice becoming quieter and their arms lowering.
