Despite having only just arrived, Mutt's already wandering camp and acquainting himself with those around. He's awfully at ease sashaying about surrounded by strangers.

Mutt doesn't seem bothered by any gawking or approaches. He flashes a smile to anyone he passes, making note of some faces before finding his way to the nearest friendly face to ask about the clan. He was curious how they differed to CreekClan, despite the remaining ache in his heart.

Mutt catches Icefire's eyes from across camp and cracks a smile and a small wink before his attention is snagged by Sparkpelt. He chuckles, it is always nice to have someone assure you're looks, he comments, even if they're jealous glares it's all just fan behavior, he adds before complimenting the warrior in return and turning the subject to the clan.

Mutt's curled ears perk to attention at the mention of rogues. He files it away for now and continues to listen to Sparkpelt, happy to sit or wander as he asked a few more questions to sate his curiosity.

Mutt is up early. He plucks something a little older off of the prey pile and goes to find Icefire. She'd peaked his interest and while Sparkpelt had answered a lot of his more important questions, he figured there wasn't a reason to poke around while he was here with others.

Mutt returns to camp after an early morning hunt. He's carrying a pair of plump mice and after depositing one, brings the other with him to chat with Sparkpelt again if the warrior is available.

Mutt is happy to settle nearby and reply to Sparkpelt's question. He supposes he has the advantage of having been in a clan prior, albeit he was only a daylight warrior there. He admits there are some things he still finds odd or doesn't understand, such as their beliefs and hierarchy, but overall he's enjoyed his time here! Everyone's been quite welcoming and he's happy to lend a paw where it's needed.

Mutt chuckles but nods at that, admitting Sparkpelt was right. As the conversation changes though, he's happy to talk about his travels. He favors talking about his times in the barn or CreekClan over his search for his kits right now, but he'll share if asked.

Mutt is on his own today it would seem, grooming out his thick fur in a shady spot in camp. Spotting Icefire however, he pauses and waves her over, offering a gentle smile and quietly asking if she's okay.

The question had Mutt thinking. He's had a plenty of troubles with cats he cared for. Never has he really been interested in a mateship, but he feels they were more than friends at least. Even he and Bluetalon had their problems before and after they were coparenting. He offers to listen if she wants to talk about whatevers bothering her.

Mutt arches a brow but doesn't press, simply mentioning he was an open ear for as long as he was here. He's content to shift the conversation though, talking about how everyone he's spoken with have been kind, especially rambling on Carrotblaze and Sparkpelt.

Mutt tips his head thoughtfully, before telling Icefire about his search for his kits. He'd stumbled into MonarchClan territory after the trail he was following went cold, so he thought he'd stay and help while he gets back on his paws.

Mutt was resting in camp after another hunt. He spots Carrotblaze from across camp and gives her and Hazelfang a friendly wave of the tail before going back to what he was doing.

Mutt jumps to attention when Carrotblaze trips, but before he can say anything she's out of camp. Concern colors his face but he elects to ask if she's alright later, albeit a bit reluctantly.

Mutt finally stops into the nursery to greet Honey, and even Vipershadow. He brings gifts in the form of prey and a couple of fresh, mint smelling mossballs while letting both cats know if they ever need anything to let him know, commenting how he missed his at their kitten stage with a chuckle.

Mutt smiles at Honey's excitement. He explains that what he's brought is some sort of wild mint. It used to grow all over the old pastures of the barn but it's not quite as common, nor anywhere near as potent as something like carmint. Still he managed to find a patch of it. He could collect some more for her later if she'd like.

Mutt seeks out Carrotblaze this evening, bringing a couple lemmings with him. He's curious tonight about any stories she may want to share.

Whatever Carrotblaze is willing to share, Mutt is happy to listen. He rests his head on his paws watching her with rapt attention, occasionally asking a question, or more commonly, complimenting her voice.

Mutt keeps his distance from the grieving clan, albeit giving his quiet condolences before overhearing Bramblingbite. He pads over and clears his throat, offering to help teach anyone interested. Swimming was almost second nature to him after the time he'd spent in CreekClan.

Mutt's been in and out of camp more and more with the nice weather. He always brings back food or herbs or something, but he still seems dissatisfied as he drops whatever he'd brought back with him.

Mutt looks disgruntled by the heavy clouds. Clearing his throat, he pads over to Pearwhisper, politely asking if she'd want any help reinforcing the dens.

Mutt watches the rain, looking almost distant. Eventually though, he breaks from his thoughts and wanders over to settle next to Carrotblaze in the den.

The usually amicable Mutt fixed Stumpsnout with a narrowed glare of his own at his talk of expecting. But he bites his tongue when Sealpaw approaches and grumbles to himself before leaving camp already soaked thoroughly with mud clinging to his legs still from his last expedition that morning.

Once Icefire isn't as busy, Mutt makes sure to bring her some downy feathers for her nest and offer his services should she need or want anything.

Despite the pouring rain, Mutt sets to work recreating ditches around the camp similar to how CreekClan had once had them. He's soaked and coated and mud but continues his work nonetheless.

Mutt breathlessly thanks Mothpaw as she passes through before his eye catches Smallpaw. He finishes the spot he's working on before padding over and showing her ways she can help.

Mutt was again wading about camp. While he worked some on more ditches and deepening a few, he'd moved on to helping maneuver nests to higher land when Sparkpelt found him. He compliments the tom for looking good despite all this manual labor, coated in mud himself with a crooked grin before accepting his help.

Mutt sits in silence as he watches the clan grieve. He's not sure if it's his place to join them so he gives his condolences and bids Sparkpelt one last lick to the shoulder before he goes and finds somewhere private. His chest weighs heavy today.

Mutt seemed to have had similar plans to Carrotblaze, but when he spots some of her family gathering around, he halts smiling softly and waving to them as they go. He looks a little lost today. Maybe it was time to continue his search.

Mutt is returning to camp with a bright red cardinal. His search for a lead has been fruitless once again but when he spots Carrotblaze his expression lightens and he's plucking a few crimson tail feathers, for her nest, he says as he greets her.

Mutt glances down at his own fur at Carrotblaze's comment, mentioning a female cardinal would probably fit better. Maybe they could find one later and match, he offers instead as he noses the feathers to her. The bright red suits her much better after all.

He's happy to see Carrotblaze accept all of the feathers after his offer. When she makes one of her own though, his ears perk up. He had been restless lately and the last few times they'd attempted to go out on a walk they'd been interrupted. He nods and accepts her offer, saying some company would be nice especially from someone so pretty.

Mutt is surprised to hear his name called during the meeting. While he keeps a calm face and charming smile on his maw as he greets Nightjarpaw, he does spare Rosestar a questioning glance. Was it a wise choice making a mentor of a tom who'd be gone the moment he found trace of his family? He wouldn't worry the new apprentice with that for now, but he'd have to bring it up soon he was sure.

Mutt watches Nightjarpaw scamper off to her friends with a wistful smile on his maw before turning to the sound of Carrotblaze's voice, he purrs and thanks her. Admitting he'd never been entrusted with an apprentice, and while he was sure his fatherhood experience might help, he's worried should the time for him to leave come before Nightjarpaw is made a warrior.

Mutt visits Nightjarpaw with a fresh squirrel this morning. He asks if she's alright with exploring the territory today. It seems as good a starting point as anything.

Mutt had intended to go to Carrotblaze at the sound of her sobs, but Nightjarpaw was intercepting him and Tigertail was slipping into the den. Letting out a breath, he agrees to his apprentice's suggestion, commenting it'd be good to help them find herbs with the cold weather rolling in.

Mutt compliments Nightjarpaw for her curiosity, and to be fair the newcomer Java had drawn his own eye. He mentions maybe they could both ask the tom some questions later, if she was up for it. He seemed friendly enough so far. For now though, he ushers them both out of camp with a gentle sweep of his tail.

Mutt cracks a soft smile at the newfound openness from Nightjarpaw. He's happy to chat back and forth with her and answer any questions. Theres a lingering thought in the back of his mind but for now he pushes it away and let's himself enjoy the young apprentice's energy.

Mutt had sat down when he noted Nightjarpaw's weariness. He offers to set their training later in the day for now, as long as she promises to work on adjusting her sleep schedule. And for the timebeing, she can rest a little longer if she'd like. There's something someone he needs to check on right now anyways.

Mutt smiles and tells Nightjarpaw to rest well before slipping out of the den. He's hasty in his exit of camp, following Carrotblaze's fading trail through the rain. While worried about her health in the cold and wet, he recognizes that look on her face and offers his help in her endeavors when he does catch up.

Mutt assures Carrotblaze that's its no trouble. He's happy to help even in the rain. He doesn't expect her to talk much, but makes sure she knows his shoulder is open as they walk and search. His heart aches for her.

Mutt had been busying himself around camp when Nightjarpaw finds him. The news of Hazelfang's progress had him breaking away from Carrotblaze's side again. His apprentice's expression has something in the older tom's chest stirring though and he's quickly ushering her along with himself to busy her paws and ask he what's on her mind.

Mutt's been taking advantage of the easier to track in weather. After training with Nightjarpaw, he's often seen leaving camp again and usually not seen for a few hours. Today he treks back a bit begrudgingly with a measly shrew that he brings to Carrotblaze.

Mutt returns her smile, albeit his own is a bit more dampened. Still, he offers to help her in her work, eyeing the nest she's working on for Hazelfang as well as asking if her own has been keeping her warm enough. He's a bit downtrodden, but not enough to miss the way her bones practically rattled in the cold.

Mutt returns to camp sometime after the news spreads. He dismisses Nightjarpaw and drops off the scraggly bird they'd caught before making his way to the den where he finds a crying Carrotblaze. He hesitates, lingering in the mouth of the den for just a moment before finally padding over and quietly laying beside the warrior.

Mutt just presses back. "Nothin' to be sorry for, darlin'," he whispers back. A part of him considers the moment, considers staying. But he can't, so he doesn't pull Carrotblaze closer, just let's her cry against his side.

Mutt quietly ponders the sensibility and safety of inviting in another rogue during all the sickness and death, but holds his tongue knowing he himself was just a guest. He ushers Nightjarpaw off to rest and welcomes Goldenpaw with a wave of his tail before going to find Carrotblaze. He'd been meaning to check up on her.

Mutt lifts a brow at Carrotblaze's tired form. As she stirred, he stood there contemplatively before giving her a firm "No," he flops down next to her with a crooked grin and laid his head across his paws. "You just looked comfortable. Thought I might give 'er a go."

Mutt doesn't seem the least bit perturbed, in fact he just shimmies over to press Carrotblaze between himself and the den wall. "And truly I'm quite comfortable here," there's a faint spark of mischief in his eyes but he wears his concern clearly as he adds that she deserves some proper rest herself taking care of the clan like she does.

Mutt is by the warrior's den! He'd been cleaning mud from his paws when Nightjarpaw and Robinpaw find him. He's a bit apprehensive at first with the recent owl attack, having dealt with his fair share in the barn, but eventually agrees to escort the duo out, glad they had come to ask for accompaniment rather then just going out on their own. He compliments their good sense.

With newleaf rolling in, Mutt had been making himself busy both with Nightjarpaw's training and his own searches across the territory. Today though, he's settled for telling a few stories from his days in the barn to anyone who'd like to sit in and listen.

Mutt seeks out Carrotblaze. He asks if she'd be interested in joining him for a friendly spar- the spring weather has him itching with seemingly endless energy that hunting and patrolling can't quite quench.

Mutt seems to perk up at Carrotblaze's mention of Hazelfang. He gives a teasing grin as he remarks its been a while since two pretty ladies took the time to gossip about him. His expression softens though as he assures her he'd be happy to stop in, maybe after their spar if Hazelfang was up for it.

After his conversation with Carrotblaze yesterday, Mutt finds himself making his way to the elders den with a plump vole in his jaws. He politely asks if Hazelfang would like some company with his best smile.

Mutt makes sure to catch Carrotblaze to remind her to be careful.  He doesn't keep her long but his worry fixes itself on his face.

The news of missing kits had Mutt one of the first few cats out of camp. His expression is serious and hard as he was practically nose to the ground, tracking as though his namesake had possessed him in the moment.

The news of kits seems to dampen Mutt's mood lately. So instead, the tom finds himself padding along to greet Strawberry and Flurry, introducing himself and making sure they're comfortable and that they know he's always happy to help if they need anything.

Mutt seems to perk up at Strawberry's familiar greeting. He gives a "Well, Howdy to you too," right back before watching as more cats pad over. He cracks a smile before letting Flurry and Strawberry know they could come find him later if they needed or wanted, he knows how overwhelming it can be to have so many new faces so he'll give them some space for now. And with a charming smile and a wink he goes to find a less crowded place to sit despite his lingering curiosity.

Despite Flurry's weary appearance, Mutt doesn't hesitate to compliment her fur. Not having spotted Nightjarpaw or Carrotblaze, he's more than happy to do both! He mentions something about understanding, even being a temporary member of the clan has him on his best behavior, he chuckles all while ushering them both along with a sweep of his tail.

Mutt gives it a bit before going to visit Flurry, bringing a gift of down feathers for her nest as he offers her any help she may need. He was a father himself and while it's been some time since his were kittens he's sure he could be of some use.

Mutt's face softens as he regards Flurry's quietness. With a dip of his head he let's her know she's free to take up his time whenever, for parenting tips or anything else, but for now he'll let her get some rest. It was big news to process, after all.

As the weather warms, Mutt's back to being out of camp most of the day. He's usually gone before and after training with Nightjarpaw. He looks more tired then usual as he reenters camp.

Mutt visits briefly with Flurry and Strawberry, seeing if either of them need or want anything. He looks a little tired but still fixes his best smile on his maw.

Mutt softly reassures Flurry that he's alright, thanking her for her concern. He makes a joke about how he's not as young as he used to be and having to scour the lands for his kits has made it apparent. He doesn't let the underlying sadness seep in as he makes sure to ask the queen how she's feeling.

Mutt takes some time to visit Carrotblaze today. Between training Nightjarpaw, his own search, and the recent patrols, he finds himself missing her company and wanting to make sure she was okay.

Mutt sombers a little at the question but he's quick to cover it up with an overdramatic sigh and bump of his shoulder to Carrotblaze's. He elects not to talk about his fruitless search for his kin, and instead speaks on how tiring it was training with Nightjarpaw out in the sun this season. He goes contemplatively quiet before asking her how she was, not having forgotten his original purpose.
