Snakeflow’s ClanGen Life Notes

Moon 0 (Clan Creation):

Snakeflow is a cat Furzestar knew dearly, taking over his mentorship until he finished his apprenticeship. After the murder of Partridgestalk, for which Furzestar (then Furzenose) was blamed, Snakeflow stood up against the leader of TurtleClan, and agreed to follow Furzestar to wherever he would be going. She would be free of TurtleClan’s tyranny. When they arrived alongside Longback, Peatpaw, Tumblepaw, Fleckfern, Greenbone and Smallstem, Snakeflow was quickly made deputy as Furzestar felt he could trust her, in a world where he worried he couldn’t trust a lot of people. She is no-nonsense and quickly embraced her new role as deputy of the newly formed MantisClan.  

Moon 1:

Snakeflow started this year out by eavesdropping on the young Tumblepaw, for some reason. She had been given Tumblepaw as her apprentice. She began her role as deputy as thoughtful, a good climber and with valuable insight. Her first patrol out as part of MantisClan would be to discover an old badger sett in the roots of a hazelnut tree. The scent indicates that there is a badger here. She decides not to investigate, as now is not the time for them to lose any of the limited number of cats they have. 

Moon 2:

Snakeflow doesn’t notice Furzestar leave camp today, when some other cats did. She wants to get to know Smallstem better. Snakeflow takes out her apprentice Tumblepaw to practice nest-raiding. The wind begins to pick up, and they decide it’s not worth to risk things with the weather getting worse. 

Moon 3:

In this moon, Condorkit is wowed by how bravely Snakeflow fought the other day. Keziahsting encourages Snakeflow to speak up while they are speaking with other cats. She also thought that Meadowkit was nice to her today. She has been doing her best to honour her Clan and her leader. This moon, her patrol duty would be to take Tumblepaw out to their border with Turtleclan. They are renewning their scent marks when they come across a TurtleClan patrol. Tensions heighten as each patrol furiously defends their territory. 

Moon 4:

Snakeflow challenged Peatfoot to spar with her. She also wonders how Condorkit is doing. This moon’s patrol involves her going hunting in the extreme green-leaf heat. They decide not to hunt with the mounting likelihood of heat exhaustion. 

Moon 5:

In this moon, Greenbone asks Snakeflow how she is doing. She had a difficult conversation with Condorkit, and finds that they have a deeper understanding of each other. She is quite stressed about organising the patrols this moon. Her patrol this moon was a training patrol with her apprentice Tumblepaw, but due to her stress, did not step up to teach, leaving Tumblepaw very disappointed. 

Moon 6:

Snakeflow’s apprentice, Tumblepaw, finished his apprenticeship, and was named Tumbleroot. Snakeflow and Keziahsting had a mock battle for her kits, who absolutely loved it. She wonders this moon if the newly named Condorpaw would be chosen for the next gathering. Her patrol this moon was a hunting patrol, where she went out with Smallstem. Smallstem successfully catches a rabbit from inside its burrow. 

Moon 7:

With Peatfoot bringing back three kittens of unknown origin, Snakeflow begins grilling Furzestar to issue harsher punishment after he prescribes a very lenient punishment. Greenbone compliments on Snakeflow's tough love approach to protecting the Clan. Sunkit tells Snakeflow that she had a feather stuck to her face, saving her the embarrassment. However, she also scolds the young Furzekit for whatever reason. She is much more confident this work, and is assigning cats to the dawn patrol. Her patrol is not the dawn patrol, she is instead escorting Peatfoot to the border of HoneyClan, and find a HoneyClan apprentice hopelessly lost in MantisClan territory. Snakeflow scolds her with Peatfoot shamefully watching, and delivers them back to HoneyClan territory. 

Moon 8:

Snakeflow had a spat with Storkkit over a piece of prey on the fresh-kill pile, very inconsiderate of her. She is in the medicine den, potentially checking in on Longback after his first death as medicine cat, being Gorsestripe. Snakefloe, Greenbone and Keziahsting approach a Twoleg nest, but decide against hunting there. 

Moon 9:

Snakeflow trains playfully with Birchkit, and had to nip Sunkit on the rump as she was being naughty. Sunkit demands her attention though. Snakeflow craves the taste of rabbit this moon. In addition to this, Aspenpaw hopes Snakeflow notices how his training is going. This moon, Snakeflow and Aspenpaw approach a clearing where Twolegs linger. Snakeflow orders Aspenpaw to stay away, but his curiosity gets the better of him. Snakeflow bristles as she sees Twolegs take Aspenpaw away.

Moon 10:

Meadowpaw is furious at Snakeflow for failing to protect her brother, Aspenpaw. This absolutely destroys her tough image, to the point where Smallstem has to ask her to speak up while speaking with other cats. She also tried to bring Birchkit's negative behaviour up to him, but it turned into a fight that someone else had to break up. As a result of all of this, Fleckfern scolds her. She worries about the potentially leadership, and worries who will give her her nine lives. Her patrol this moon is simple. She takes Peatfoot out, and they catch a mouse for the fresh-kill pile. 

Moon 11:

Snakeflow joins the other cats of MantisClan in mourning the death of Condorpaw, who died while attempting to protect his clan by bringing home herbs. Snakeflow also caught Tumbleroot complaining about her behind her back. However, following the disappearance of Aspenpaw and the death of Condorpaw, she makes a point of looking out for the wellbeing of Furzekit. Littlekit bickered with her about something trivial. She overslept on this day too, and was almost late to her patrol, where she located a large dog on patrol with Keziahsting. They decided not to approach, with it just being the two of them. 

Moon 12:

Birchpaw was apprenticed to Snakeflow, but he was diagnosed with yellowcough shortly before being apprenticed. His training will not resume until he is better. Snakeflow observes Longback carefully attending to every cat that needs help despite his grief. Snakeflow also punishes Tumbleroot with extra work for whatever reason. She spends time assessing apprentices. Her patrol involves her and Lowpatch going out to hunt, but turning around when the snow begins hammering down.
