"So I heard you two have been following around thise knights that came into town." Kazoku sounded disappointed and Shatter tried very hard to ignore how awful that made him feel.

"What of it?" Shatter pointedly did not look at the eevee fusion as she settled down next to him, still a respectful distance away. Sure he was spending his free time following the group of mostly sneasel around, well the free time he could spare from trying to work things out with the sprite pokemon, but he couldn't just let this new group walk into town without him gauging their abilities.

"THE NATURE OF OUR SURVEILLANCE SHOULD NOT BE A CAUSE OF CONCERN. WE ONLY WISH TO GUAGE THEIR COMPETENCE." Metal spoke up in the resulting silence.

"Well it is a bit concerning. You know Mane vetted all of them right? I doubt he would have approved of them staying if he didn't think they were competent." Kazoku explained patiently.

"They brought children with them." Shatter frowned. "Parden me for not thinking they're committed to their jobs."

"Reise is a child too." Kazoku pointed out. "Yet Mane allows him to work as a guard alongside him. Plus I hear those two are official members of the Frontier Knights, so they have as valid reason to be here as the others." Shatter said nothing to that, and neither did Metal. He heard Kazoku quietly huff in frustration. "Perhaps you should attempt to talk to them rather than stalk them. I feel like that would get you the information you want much faster."

"HAVE YOU TALKED TO THEM YET." Metal tilted his head in question.

"No I've not had the chance. Barely even caught sight of them around town yet." Kazoku gave the two of them an exasperated look. "I've been rather busy with trying to figure out what a certain two zorua have been hiding from me."

"THAT IS... UNDERSTANDABLE." Somehow even Metal sounded sheepish.

Shatter frowned. Perhaps getting Kazoku's assistance would be beneficial. "Well, then allow me to help free up some time for you." He finally looked at her. "I'll show you what me and Metal have been up to."

Kazoku looked surprised before she smiled. "Well. That will certainly be a start."
