Backstory:

Connie was an animatronic made for standing next to a very small kiddie pool/ spray park at the original location. Her programming was to act as a lifeguard, helping in the case of children drowning, so that Freddy's wouldn't have so many lawsuits. Her design was originally going to be a water snake, but Henry Emily, her sole creator, decided that might be scary to the kids. She was made waterproof, since she had to be able to withstand kids splashing on her, but the owners decided not to use the waterpark idea, instead replacing it with Pirate's Cove, with a similar animatronic. Because of this, she sat in an office corner for years, only able to stare out the window at kids playing. One day, she saw a girl pass by the office a couple minutes until closing time. She had a lifeguarding hat on her head, and Connie's jealousy burned inside of her. That was basically what she was meant to do, yet here was this human, likely taking her job for granted. Her programming told her she shouldn't harm the girl, but she had spent all her life just sitting around. In that moment, she became alive, her emotions defying her programming as a robot. She jumped and crashed through the window, swooping up the girl and trapping her in her suit. Once she did that, she surveyed the scene. No witnesses. Good. She started to feel guilty, but rage burned inside her still. Instead of a slow death like she had originally planned, she stabbed the girl through the heart with one of the rib bones of her endoskeleton. Connie let out a screech, because she felt the girl's pain too. A single heartbeat was what she felt. She was alive. Then, she was the girl, dying. The girl's body went limp, and the two spirits merged. She panicked, having no idea what she had become. She ran off outside, and hid behind some trees next to the pizzaria.

A couple days passed, and all she felt was regret. The girl had actually loved her job, and loved helping people. The animatronic and girl were so similar. They were the same.

Connie finally buried Thunder's body, accepting that Thunder Reinam was no longer alive, or at least not in the same way she had previously been, even though her spirit lived on in Connie. The guilt and sadness had been gnawing away at her. She had to do something, or else it would consume her. To remedy this problem, she did what both halves of her agreed on:

Saving lives was good.

Saving lives was repentance.

She returned to the diner to learn that the other animatronics had become possessed too. She was curious but cautious to the others. She didn't see how they died, and they didn't remember. Night after night, night guard after night guard 'mysteriously disappeared ', she did some investigating. She saved a man named Veteran just as he was about to get eaten. She confronted her fellow animatronics, but they seem to have no guilt or moral compass. She tries to help people, especially kids, escape from each of Freddy's locations, and yet always stops if she is in too much danger. She has escaped fire and closure of all the locations. She has all her memories, from both the animatronic and her human self. She often tries figuring out why the other animatronics are bloodthirsty, but after any sort of conversation about that, they always conveniently forget it. She's actually really shy if she isn't busy saving someone, so she never shows up on security cameras, because you won't know she's there unless you need help. She doesn't really consider herself to be a part of the rest of the animatronic 'family', since they seem to have some sort of hive mind that controls them and makes them behave certain ways.

She also doesn't like Foxy because he practically replaced her, but she tries to not let it show, because it's not his fault.
