"Well isn't this just lovely..." Gareth grumbled as he tossed a group of caterpie off himself.

"Where the heck did all these bugs come from anyway!?" Curatrix growled, barely extracting herself from a group of scatterbug. She had not signed up for this. When she had taken  on the job of head guard for Silverdenn she'd though she'd be defending it from actual threats. Things like Team Havoc members or whatever else was here that no one knew about. Yet here she was, along with the rest of her guard, fighting off an army of bug pokemon that had come out of nowhere.

"The spring often times brings many bug pokemon out of hiding." Lance hummed, knocking back a couple karrablast. "I don't wish to harm them but the are causing problems."

"Look we go permission to take care of them from the mayor right?" Fortis shook off a few ledyba.

"Umbra asked us to deal with em!" Perci said from his position of being partially submerged by grubbin.

"Then we give them a show of force not intending to hurt, but scare them off." Curatrix flared her wings. "Luckily it only seems to be a bunch of first stages."

"Then might I suggest we act quickly." Gareth pulled Perci out of the pile. "Before they become a bigger problem than they already are?"

Fortis snapped her jaws in the direction of a group of bugs. They warily backed off. "I'm not sure we'll be enough for that. Some might flee at a show of force from us but I doubt all of them will."

"We must simply do our best. Even if only some flee that is less for us to deal with." Lance grunted. The group of guards stood their ground fighting off the invading bugs. Even when they took to knocking out some it did little to slow the bugs down. It was starting to look like a losing battle until a loud cry was heard. The massive form of Silverdenn's newest resident descended from the sky. Quasar barred their teeth before roaring. The bugs couldn't scamble to leave fast enough at the sight of the massive rayquaza.

Once the bugs were gone Quasar slumped, all sighs of aggression completely gone. "Thank goodness that worked..." They mumbled to themself quietly.

It was still an odd sight for Curatrix, just seeing the pokemon the two had sort of been worshipping just... being around. The shrine keepers had been besides themselves when Quasar had emerged from the statue they'd built their shrine around. The ancient pokemon had been very apologetic about it and had quickly helped rebuild something for them. Now after a quick talk with mayor Argenti, Quasar had stuck around. To continue protecting this place like they had apparently done before being turned to stone. Though to Curatrix they didn't seem like much of a defender most of the time. They were super nice and were often going around making sure everyone was alright. It just wasn't how Curatrix had expected a legendary to act. Though her only real frame of reference was the necrozma that had moved into town, and they were rather intense. "Thank you for the help." Curatrix nodded her head respectfully. Just because Quasar wasn't anything like she'd expected didn't mean she still didn't respect them. The whole town did.

"Oh, of course." Quasar smiled. "I couldn't have very well not helped when you seemed so clearly overwhelmed. I was happy to assist."

"We should... go report this to Argenti." Fortis gently brought up, slightly subdued likely due to Quasar's presence.

"Oh!" Quasar blinked before looking sheepish. "Right. I should let you complete your work then. Until later." With a respectful tilt of their head they took off. Likely returning to the clouds above Silverdenn where they tended to stay when not at the shrine.

"I'm never going to get used to that." Gareth slumped. Possibly in relief. It was hard to tell with Gareth a lot of the time. The dracouge typically kept his emotions close to his chest.

"It is certainly... something hard to get used to." Lanced patted his partner on the back.

"I for one think it's super cool!" Perci was looking up where Quasar had vanished.

"It's certainly something." Curatrix sighed. As much as she wanted to wait around and process how she felt about the pokemon the town literally worshipped swooping in to help, she had a job to to. "Let's get a move on. Lance, Gareth, Perci. You three take a look around town and make sure that all the bugs were scared off. Fortis with me. We'll go let Argenti or Umbra know what happened." There were murmurs of agreement before the others took off. Curatrix took one last glance at the sky as Fortis came to her side. Yeah, this would take a lot of getting used to.
