An eggsquisite change

Mona was not sure who caused this, or how it happened. One moment she had glittering, ethereal… mother of stars, and mother friend to her friends. Now… She was an egg. An egg of shades of blue, banded with gold and encrusted with stardust. 

Her new form lay nestled under a bush, waiting, silent as the chaos around her ensued. Unable to utter a single word, as she silently prayed and cussed out those who almost trampled over her… No, she didn’t want to discover what would happen to her if her fragile shell was cracked… or worse, shattered.

Perhaps, Mona would enjoy her time as an egg, and all her normal worries as a ringox would be gone… She was just a lone egg. Then again, there was a new worry of being trampled…. 

Slowly, the egg rolled, hopping and shaking as it tried to make its way to a safer location. Stardust seemed to leave a trail from where she had been, the only sign she had been there. Coming upon the tip of a rock, she rested, worn from whatever little magic she had exerted just to move and roll up upon this measly bolder.

Small step for ringox, large roll for Eggkind. 

Feeling safer in this location, she’d wait, and see if anyone would collect her, or if this mischief would be reversed. Hopefully, if collected, she wouldn’t be any trouble… she’d hate to be a bad egg.
