If it wasn’t for the newest of huntsmen losing his footing on a slippery lii root in the twilight hours she wouldn’t have ever been noticed deep in the vegetation of the shimmering cosmic forest. The huntsmen had been scouting and mapping the lush zone for many daylights and had not encountered any other excursionists so it was to their great surprise to find an infant, wrapped in simple sheer cloth and tucked in a woven basket. She was unusually silent, quietly offering an abundance of patience as they packed her through the trails and fumbled with her care. They felt compelled to bring the child back to the Carousel village and hoped she would be claimed.

Seren was her given name, taken from the great mother goddess Seremim who had enormous strength to silently birth each of the stars as they ripped through her ethereal being. No family made claim of Seren though so the village raised her together, passing her from home to home to teach her the ways of life and to ultimately discover her place. Seren grew happily as a quiet child, and enjoyed most shadowing under the new mothers of the various families.

Her blessing had never presented in her youth so, while it had never happened before in Carousel, it was assumed she had not been gifted a blessing of the gods. For a while she was resigned to likely becoming a child’s maiden, a barren lady who tended to the children while parents worked to salvage and rebuild the village, hunt for meat, or gather forest supplies. While Seren was good at childcare she certainly longed to be more, and to be able to share a gift as the others could.

It was a great surprise to all when, in her early adulthood, her blessing was made clear. As her quietly longing soul wrapped around Soren’s spiritual being a veil spread over the village and, for the first time, offered complete protection from the harsh elements that so plagued Carousel. This mystical barrier gave a new path and purpose for the villagers, who felt relief from the previous hardship of never-ending rebuilding, in that they began sharing their blessings beyond Carousel. They turned their eyes to the planet below and began to bless those creatures too.

Her heart filled and her soul calmed when she joined with Soren. It was then discovered that Seren carried the greatest blessing of love and, in turn, life. Together she and Soren were able to bless others with love, renewals of devotion, and strength to connect eternal mates together.

The villagers of Carousel were so grateful for the abundance of love and protection they believed both Seren and Soren to have been sent as direct offspring of the gods. Today they are recognized as the highest of royalty, sharing the castle of the ancients situated in the centered of the village. A breathtaking monument made of the rare lyri stone was hand carved of the pair and sits just outside the castle entrance for villagers to appreciate.

Seren spends most of her days quietly in the castle walls with her beloved king and children. She is said to be deeply maternal, seeming to mother all who surround her, and has gained the endearing nickname of Lamba within the royal family. She has been heard speaking in jest of claims of the villagers being but stars reliant on her caring heart to birth them each into their life’s purpose.

It is a speculation of many, but especially of the aark that practices both medicine and magic, that aging halted for the lamb queen when her soul joined once more with her eternal mate. Though physically larger than Soren, Seren maintains a soft, elegant beauty and is admired by all. Her smile is pictured as gentle and delicate.

One of the many interests of Seren is reading, which she is frequently seen doing throughout the castle and during outings. She has a fondness for it so much that she has set aside a daylight to entertain those who would like to share a quiet read alongside her and discuss their latest perusal. It is said that on special occasions she may offer a personally baked treat and luscious rose tea too.

It is important to note that Carousel maintains a royal structure but is driven by matriarchy. It is Queen Seren who ultimately guides the village and oversees protective measures instituted. As any worthy guide, she is grateful for feedback and frequently consults with many.

Queen Seren has great confidence as a first queen but also has awareness and compassion that others may lack this poise. When approached with doubts she is inviting, always encouraging others to speak openly to her and allow her to reassure their minds. Her voice has a special warmth to it that is adored by all villagers and has been known to lull crying infants.

It is to be advised that Seren maintains an overall quiet persona. Her movements are smooth and graceful, her steps being but soft pats, her expressions always deeply thoughtful, and she reserves her unique speaking voice for worthy mention. Expect to appreciate her natural elegance and comforting, maternal spirit emanating through the air around her.

The castle welcomes visitors to the throne from dawn to dusk and under no strict time limitation. Please be prepared to present yourself, your title, and your purpose of visit.
