I love that sm & can see ren indulging him ngl LOL idk if I mentioned it, but his hobby is cooking & baking (original verse he owned a cafe/lodge!) so u can expect ren would definitely give him his favorites here & there

Iris normally gone through out the day bc well... whatever shit he gets up to. #delinquent
But he doesnt show up for dinner and its raining so probably got caught up somewhere but ren goes out lookin (and im assuming he has heightened smell) probably catches wind of blood but like, not just any.
So he follows it, its raining, and tucked into a corner beside a stall iris is just completely tattered. Back leaning against it, head thrown back with closed eyes and shallow breaths. As hes drenched in wounds. Some his, some others..
Probably would trigger ren a bit given his past*?
Anywho hes fine after a while. Ren had to scoop him up and sprint home with blood all over him and a half lucid child

I feel like Iris just does petty shit and has an impulsive mouth and mind. Doesnt think at all of the consequences but like and even when hes in deep shit he just refuses to back off

yeah, that was my thought too, tbh - literally knows how it feels, and ren ended up coming to the hard realization a lot of it was simply bc he was alone & he won't tell you his feelings about it, but he's just a big baby sjsj
so I imagine ren has a soft spot for iris bc he can see parts of his old self in him, and that's how iris sort of has him wrapped around his finger. he'd get away with stuff with ren that others in the second midnight would not
AT FIRST THO, ren would absolutely be the frosty cagey one, but also likely the first to bring him back if he had wandered away from them soon after he'd followed simu home
