Quick Trip

"And you're sure you can handle yourself while I'm gone? The extra work won't be too much?" Umbra bounced from foot to foot nervously.

Argenti shook his head, a fond smile on his face. "I was managing just fine before I met you my friend. I'll be alright for a few days. If I truly get overwhelmed I have others i can ask for help."

Finally Umbra stilled. "Alright. If you're sure." She tapped her wings together. "I won't be long."

"I know." Argenti had a patient smile. "You explained to me in great detail your plans."

"A-ah. I suppose I did, didn't I?" Umbra nodded. 

"Relax Umbra. It will be fine. You will do great and I look forward to seeing you return in your new form." Argenti's grin widened.

"It's been a long time coming..." Umbra shuffled her wings. "I admit I'm nervous but I'm also excited."

Argenti put a hand on her shoulder. "You'll be magnificent. Show them all your best."

Umbra smiled. "Thank you Argenti. I will."

"Now go." Argenti waved her off. "Lest you get off your itinerary." He chuckled.

"Ah yes..." Umbra turned away in embarrassment. "I'll see you in a few days."

"Until then." Argenti nodded his head. With a lifted spirit, Umbra left. It was finally time for her to evolve, and she was determined to do it right.
