The day was pretty much perfect, no rain, no clouds, just pure sunshine. He had just set out, excited and bouncing as he did. His mother watched him go from the entrance of her home, she hadn’t wanted him to go. Subtly suggesting that he shouldn’t go, that he should wait a bit longer before going out on his own. Her sweet baby boy wasn’t ready to go. However he had assured her he’d be fine, after all he had Connie make sure his journey was safe. Even if the green dragon's legs were the first thing Lance had ever sorta properly made Connie was still his greatest accomplishment.

So together they set out, Connie bobbing alongside his rider happily. Lance knew what he was looking for, something easy but sturdy. So they wandered and then he saw it. A metal storage unit, just one in the middle of a vast land that he had learned was abandoned. He was told he could have it, it was useless and unwanted so he had taken it gladly. It was rusty and it creaked but it was perfect! He’d go back home and get his things, set up a workshop, a place to sleep and go from there. He could make this place a home of his own, add more storage units. He let out an audible gasp, a noise of realization and excitement. “I could combine multiple storage units to make a giant one!”

“I…think you can just…buy a giant one?” Lance bout leaped out of his fur at the sudden voice. He whipped around to look back to the storage unit, upon it lay a pale dragon, his eyes wide and almost fearful but his body language was strangely calm. “Who are you?” The dragon tilted its head, the light reflected off of it. Glass? “Who are YOU?” Lance was undeterred, a smile reforming on his face. “I’m Lance! That’s Connie.” Connie dipped his skeletal head in greeting. “Watcha doin’ out here?” There was such a cheerful energy about this cat and the strange dragon felt a warmth spread through it. “I live here.” Lance blinked a few times, “Oh…I’m sorry! I was told nobody lived here!” The pale dragon hummed, eyes still wide and unblinking. “I guess you could live here too…”

“REALLY? Are…are you sure?” The feline's eyes lit up and another burst of joy seemed to flow through the air, wrapping itself around the pale dragon. “Yes…I’m…Trauma…” Lance narrowed his eyes just a little. “I’m not sure if that’s a good name.” Trauma blinked once, slowly. “Yes…but that is my name.” After a few moments of seemingly tense silence Lance spoke again. “Well then…hello Trauma!”
