It was a dark place, barely lit and seemingly abandoned but it was surprisingly clean. Not a hint of dust in sight, well kept, it was just a pit. It sat calm and quiet, at least for now, soon it would be lit, bursting alive with the sound of cheers and excitement mixed with the squeals and growls of dragons forced into the pit to fight. Fight for status, for glory or simply for their life because here, dragons either win…or they disappear. In this place many saw dragons only as money makers or something to sate their twisted pleasures and who was Javar to not humor them. As long as they had money to enter, money to bet, he didn’t care. A stable of sorts was connected to part of the pits. A place to keep the fighting dragons in. However, beyond the pit and its stable sat a luxurious house, a giant stable sat further on the property. This stable was bigger, fancier, made for Javar’s favorite dragons. Dragons with good genetics that bred good fighters or dragons who have won enough fights to earn the felines favor.

However the favorites above the normal Favorites had access to the mansion, where they were fawned over more than the dragons housed in the fancy stables. One of said dragons was Asmodea, she had come from stud parents with good genetics. Javar had raised her from an egg, never once thinking of sending her to the pits. His attachment to her had been much stronger than the other dragons he had had in the past. She had also formed an attachment to him, the second she had hatched. So she spent most of her day lounging around the house or keeping Javar company while he worked. It was simpler for her to be around while she was small but even the size she was now Javar tolerated her in the house.
