Past 6 Months In the Valley

Thing have been crazy in the valley lately, and every day Pikesplash expected a new thing to just happen and she wouldn’t be surprised at all. She is taking it in stride- of course, but if things keep piling up she isn’t actually sure how much she can keep her attitude up.

She isn’t a kit or even young warrior anymore, and well sometimes, too much happens at once.

It started with the aftermath of the situation with Hailbelly and Fawn. Things were calm for a while, and considering that whole mess Pikesplash appreciated it. She revealed in it- she got to show off her new skills, and get closer to the family and siblings she was ignoring because of her own self doubt and insecurities (though she won’t admit that to anyone- already too many people know about that and she has an IMAGE to uphold). Berrybelly, Sunspark and Peachpounce are all AWESOME and wow she missed out a LOT from distancing herself from them.

Then the beavers attacked. And she was torn in two in defending the camp and frantically looking around said camp and making sure her siblings were ok (she remembers Berrybelly getting torn in front of her, getting thrown into that tree and it haunts her on the days she is alone and the thoughts get too loud and not distracting enough). While thankfully they were ok enough (no deaths thank StarClan she wouldn’t have been able to handle that) others in the clan were seriously injured and the camp was destroyed, making rebuilding a priority. Not only that, a fire FIRE! started in the territory and things start to get serious.

At first it was contained and easy to avoid- as they were rebuilding camp all the Lynxclanners had to do was avoid the south of their territory- it quickly got out of control as the fire continued to spread closer and closer to their camp until they had to leave their territory altogether. (She may or may not have tried to poke the fire on a self imposed dare- no one knew though and no one was going to know!.....she also totally won that dare and no one could say otherwise).

Apparently they weren’t the only cats who had to leave- when LynxClan showed up in RavenClan for sanctuary, so did SnakeClan. And it was…awkward. Very awkward. Like extremely awkward.

Even more awkward was the fact that LynxClan was basically exiled by RavenClan in their territory, but honestly Pikesplash didn’t mind as she really did NOT want to be in that camp- it sort of really stunk.

She thankfully wasn’t around in that camp when Nettlestar lost a life- but honestly it was a blessing in disguise, it brought the metal birds which stopped the fire and they could go home!

And for the next few moons, things were chill! They rebuilt camp, and while Pikesplash sort of wanted to claw off either her own fur or RavenClan’s fur whenever she was on patrol and saw another RavenClan cat, things were chill!

And then things tipped over to the edge. While she was able to, in an INCREDIBLE show of restraint, not claw at those RavenClan cats every time she saw them, not every other cat was able to- understandably in her opinion.

Things started getting tense again and only Beetlestar’s awesome negotiating skills were they able to keep some peace during leaf-bare. Though honestly Pike would have been able to fight during leaf-bare. She is awesome after all.

She unfortunately wasn’t able to join the patrol Coppershade lead (and while she wouldn’t say it out LOUD, she is like 95% sure if she was there they would have won.) but the next patrol she is definitely going to join. And there will be a next one, Beetlestar is going to make sure of it, she knows.

RavenClan won’t know what hit them.
