"Not much around here." Nightshade hummed as his eyes darted around.

Whip looked down at his mostly filled in map. "Well we have been around here for longer than we normally would be." He said bitterly.

"I get what you mean." Nightshade shuffled his wings. "Neither of us have had much to do recently huh?"

"You more so than me." Whip shook his head. "At least it's still important for you to go out and make sure nothing dangerous is around us. I've mapped this whole area at least twice over by now."

"Well... at least it's peaceful?" Nightshade winced. That was a sad cover and he knew it.

"Since when have we really enjoyed a peaceful calm like this?" Whip threw his wings wide. "We're used to being on the move, taking the dangers at every turn and overcoming them! Us staying stationary so long to get properly register with this new group is agony! Why should we have to conform to their rules?"

"Oh! This area looks new." Nightshade tried to change the subject. If he let Whip keep going this trip would be less than enjoyable. Not that he didn't at least partially agree. "I'll go on ahead and make sure it's safe."

Whip waved him off. "Go on then. Do your job so I can do mine."

With a quick beat of his wings Nightshade was off the ground and gliding towards the area. Honestly he didn't expect anything to be there, but it was his job to check this stuff out. It was why he'd been sent out with Whip. An aerial view of the area revealed nothing dangerous, so he beat his wings a couple times and returned to where Whip was waiting impatiently for him. "All clear." He nodded.

"Excellent." Whip nodded and pulled out his map. "Now at least I can do something. Nightshade waited on a nearby rock, acting as lookout, while Whip filled in what was probably the last part of his map. At least of this area. The toucannon fusion was building up quite the impressive collection of maps he'd made himself.  They'd been invaluable for Shroudhaven. It would have been rather treacherous to get around without them. "Alright, we're done here. Let's... head back I suppose." Whip sighed. "I can only be out here looking at this for so long before I'll go crazy."

"Very well." Nightshade chuckled, amused. He did hope they would move on soon, him and the rest of Shroudhaven were itching for some new scenery. For now though he'd stay ahead of Whip and do his job.
