Eggs

He didn’t realize how precious a new life was, his twin. Sure he didn’t know how to care for eggs, sure he was scared of being a father, but this was his responsibility now and he should care for his new children as best as he could. Of course, he had eggs too, by the very same person who they made love with, together. Nan, oh Nan! Thank you for the opportunity, for the chance to make him a father! He wanted this so bad, so so bad! To be a father…what would it be like? He hadn’t a clue but already he was dreaming of the possibilities.

He dreamt of a set of twins, no triplets, playing together and laughing high, childish laughs as he watches them from a couch, making sure no one is hurt. He dreamt of them piling on him and him laughing, kissing them happily on the forehead and cheek, blowing into their stomachs, laughing himself as he got tickled. He dreamt of them snuggling together in bed as he kissed them goodnight, going to their mother to hold her gently as they watched them sleeping. He dreamt that and he dreamt more, feeling happy whenever he did so.

Such beautiful eggs! The color of pink and beauty! They were so cute, so fragile, he wanted to keep the safe forever, hold them tight until he could feel their heartbeats on his chest. Such a tiny life, so beautiful and serene, he wanted to give them a good life. He would do it for his brother’s eggs too. To be honest, he didn’t trust him to take good care of them, probably leading them down a dark path with his whims. But he would take care of them, he would take care of all of them with all the strength he could muster.

Was it scary? Yes. Would it be worth it? Yes. Brotherly was excited and he wished to touch those beautiful eggs and let them live a long and happy life, the life they had always deserved.
