ORDER 002 - Daily Tasks Part 2
Blessing.
Once Elijah finished cleaning the hallways, after fighting with the dust bunnies he kept moving to the next room as ordered. The door of it was big enough to a giant to pass through and when he opened it he saw a sword at the middle. The sword was at a pedestal made of the best and cleanish stones and the sword bath with gilded and white ornaments. He dropped the mop and pail to the floor unconsciously, like if he wasn't himself. He heard a voice, a very soft voice and kind, the sword started to have a new form with the handle with a color bronze and a bit rusty, with an ear handle to the side, more like a pirate sword with it's two edges. It was enough to stay at a considerate distance before it felt to cut you. Elijah was hypnotized by it, it was stunning!
He kneeled upon the sword, still not knowing what was happening. The voice started: "Welcome, warrior, to my purification chamber. Here you are upon me, there is a fate you might have to fulfill, but first; to continue I need a blessing. Anything that is precious to you, that could be of high value and that you are ready to sacrifice for your path to continue. I don't ask for something big, nor for something that you end up regretting, I need something that you value and don't have a problem to sacrifice. Bring me, then... a blessing!" Elijah stood up and started thinking, what could be precious enough and good to sacrifice without regretting it? He thought of one time when he received a plush from a nightmare, it was a teddy bear with the front paw a little rotten, but it was in good state to keep playing with. He can't remember the nightmare tho, he just knows that it was something very important. Maybe it can work for someone else or as a blessing, after all is a toy and he's already someone grown up. He don't need it anymore, so it was perfect.
When he stopped thinking about it, he thought how he could get it? It was too far away from home, until he looked at his hands, a brown teddy bear with the front paw rotten and the two black dots as eyes with a wide smile on it was laying on his hands, holding it tightly, so soft and fluffy. He didn't know from where it came, but it must have been some kind of magic. He kneeled again, in front of the sword and extending his arms above his head and saying "This is my blessing!" The sword started to glow strongly, with a white bright and warm light. The teddy bear started to disappear from his hands, and with a final "Thank you, you shall pass now, and good luck in your path good warrior. This might not be the last time we met! Now, go forward, the new task is waiting for you. She will command you something different and make sure to make friends in the way. You will need them!" The sword disappeared revealing a new door, this time with the silhouette of a creature. He stood up, cleaning his jeans with his hands and walking forward to it. The doors wide opened revealing the next note in front of him.
"Good, warrior! You're doing very good! This time you have to gather some friends around the castle, you'll need this." Elijah saw a net big enough for a creature to be there. "Probably you'll recognized two of them, so make sure to treat them well and train them too in the way. I'm sure they will be of help once captured! Good luck!!" The door closed, the note faded and Elijah was standing there confused with a LOT of daydreams surrounding the castle from in and out. Oh boy, this will be an interesting task!
