Missing an eye that was torn from her by Malistaire Drake during their fight.
How She lost that eye:
Grandmother Raven had two eyes. One was known as "The Eye Of Fertility', which Spider stole after turning all their titan children rouge. It was the eye both used to create their children with sentience, rather than blind slaves like their followers. It is said whoever ingested the eye before conceiving would have a healthy child each time. It also increases the chance of conception.
The other was the eye she used in creating the dragon titan, the dragon eye. Spider also gained possession of this one. The ingestion of this one strengthens the body.
Later on, after successfully raising his children for him, and serving as a perfect cabal witch to him, he gifted her both eyes.
She ingested them when she decided to have a family.
With luck, Amber was born with the dragon eye. It was a lighter purple than her right one, which was the eye of fertility that also made it into her. When she sang a certain rhyme and cried onto a wound or someone wounded using both eyes, she could heal them.
Malistaire later rips it from her face to summon the dragon titan in Dragonspyre.
The missing dragon eye upset the balance of the eye of fertility, causing it to lose its magic within her and darken both visually and her mind physically.
Etc.:
Her tattoo is of a fictional flower I made up, the “Amber Delia”. It blooms in the presence of great strength, but it wilts and dies slowly in pain in the presence of someone with great sorrow. It cries its petals for those who cannot find relief.
