A Journey Like no Other
The day of Azura's rite has arrived
It was time. Azura was restless. She wanted to explore to see the world. She looked to her parents as they beamed proudly. Judas was busy packing her a small pack of dried foods that wouldn't spoil as she traveled. Dios led her outside their home and sat with her. "Now, remember everything you've been taught and you'll do wonderful." He rested his forehead against hers their horns clicking softly as they connected.
Apexes were often seen as volatile and violent toskals, Azura of course knew this was false, at least in the case of her father. He was strong, powerful, and protective of the tribe and especially his family. "I promise I'll come home." "I have no doubt you will. Now go say goodbye to your mother and make us proud" He smiled as Azura stood and headed back inside.
Judas looked up at Azura smiling softly. "Get a pep talk?" Azura grinned and nodded standing next to her and helping her pack. "You'll do great things" "I'll work to make you proud. To make both of you proud" "You will." Judas smiled and tied the pack shut handing it to her child. "Now go. Go find your destiny."
Azura took the pack and hugged her mother tightly. "I'll be back!" The young alpha grinned and pranced from the house hugging Dios before heading into the jungle. Judas stepped from the house and leaned against her husband as their child disappeared. Both had no doubt she'd return.
