BABIES

“I HEARD THE BABIES HATCHED DID THEY, MY DEAR?” Aaren shouted excitedly as he burst into Nan’s room, completely excited as he glanced around with manic eyes. Everyone just stood still as he finally turned his gaze to the children in Nan’s arms and screamed. “OH MY GOD.” He fell to his knees and began to cry, blotching and ugly tears as he sobbed with joy. “THEY’RE BEAUTIFULLLLLL,” he sobbed erratically, the bubbles just looking at him with curiosity, though one white one, Azuki, was trying to squish himself against his brothers out of fear and happy embarrassment. Silver couldn’t help but clutch her own child in fear, the black bubble that was Raspberry Syrup just peering out of her arms in curiosity before popping out of her arms, much to her internally shrieking horror, and then flying over to him quite fast. The rest soon followed, Azuki doing so hesitantly, as they flew over to Aaren again. He screamed, causing them to try to scatter but unable to when he grabbed all five into his arms and squished them against his chests. “THEY ALREADY KNOW HOW TO FLY. NAN. NAN.”

“They do you idiot now stop that you’re scaring my babies,” the Queen hissed as she jumped to her feet and flew to Aaren, preparing to land a kick to his face. He just cuddled them and sobbed an ugly sob as he held the precious newborns. They made small peeping noises as they nuzzled this strange man, feeling oddly happy about it. He seemed nice too, a plus for all the babies. Aaren continued to sob happily as he held the children before gasping.

“I need my camera! Where’s my camera?! Ack, I wish I was here for the hatching, my goodness!” He let go of the ethereal bubbles and began to pat himself down, wondering where he put the darn camera.

“Ah, will get it!” Shadowy chirped as he climbed out of the bed and began looking around for it.

“Thank you so much, Shadowy! Oh my goodness they’re the most adorable little babies I’ve ever seen! I can’t- Nan, how do you think they will grow?” She smiled as she lighted down right next him, gathering up her children in her arms while Raspberry just watched. He peeped as he headbutted his half sibling, Lavender, before glancing over at Aaren again.

“Ah, found it!” Shadowy said as he finally returned with the camera. The fysaera immediately snatched it up and took pictures, the flash nearly blinding as the bubbles squealed in surprise. Then they began to get curious and fly around it, all of them just flying and ending up following the flash.

“THEY’RE EVEN PLAYING RIGHT NOW OH MY GOD!” Aaren squealed happily as he took more pictures.

“Aaren, I swear…” Nan huffed as she crossed her arms before her lips twitched into a smile, “I think they’ll like you. They already seem to.” Aaren gasped before he started sobbing again, the children gathering towards him. He then promptly hugged them all once more.

“My babiiiiiesss,” he whimpered happily as he nuzzled them all, “I love you all~!” A chorus of peeps made themselves known, causing him to scream. “THEY ALREADY UNDERSTAND ME, NAN-“ She promptly smacked him across the face.

“Calm down, you’re scaring them again,” she hissed before gathering the babies once more, “Anyway, I’m going to feed them some of my jelly.”

“Oooh, yes! The royal jelly that is oh so delicious and-“

“I STILL BLAME YOU FOR THAT YOU IDIOT.” The man said nothing as he watched Nan feed them all with her royal jelly, getting a dreamy expression on his face. This was indeed the best of days.
