Author's Notes

NOTE: This is just a summary of the Mirakil story.
I'm sorry, but I do not intend to ever publish the full story publicly,
as it's something I wrote for myself and don't care for what others think of it.

Setting

The story is set in a fantasy world.  It is similar to medieval Europe: there is an established class system, with lords and nobles ruling over the peasants.  If you've ever read The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, I was very much inspired by that novel while re-writing this story.  Our main heroine, Mira Lovewell, is an orphaned girl.  She travels with a performing troupe and sings for them. One important thing to note is that orphans are revered as messengers of the gods in this society.  They are considered to be mysterious and blessed existences.

Summary

The story starts off with Mira:  She is a singer for a traveling troupe whose voice attracts and charms any living thing, from humans to animals and even plants.  The day we start on is just like any other, but it wears on, Mira notices that her hair long curling locks of hair, which are normally a honey brown, are turning white as snow.  Confused and worried, she hides it underneath a hood and frets about it until evening, when she finds that all of her hair has turned white.  The rest of her troupe, which are like family to her, takes it well enough, but she falls into despair and does not wake up the next morning.  Instead, a stranger invades the camp and steals her away in her sleep.

Mira wakes up the following day to find herself in an extremely lavish mansion.
