Autumn Event
Leaves usually full of life
Now crumble to dust under my step
Dead all of them are
Dead like me
Trees adorned with glorious crowns
Now reach for the sky as mere skeletons
Sky with cold breath
Sky without mercy
Animals all so warm and fuzzy
Now slumber without consciousness
Escape from the darkness
Escape to the darkness
Why is all this happening?
Why is the forest perishing?
Has someone wronged you?
Maybe I have wronged you?
Is there nothing to be done?
Will even a prayer save you?
But who would listen to a prayer
of a soul forgotten by gods?
