Cupcake wasn't sure why she'd gone to cafe tonight. The leader of her boardgame group was gone to a family event, and the rest had scattered. She sat in her owner drinking apple cider, and eating a muffin. The cafe itself was bustling this Friday night. The atmosphere was warm, and conversations were lively. Throughout it all the owner/surplus barista Sammy was walking about, making sure everyone had what they needed, and taking care of anything the other staff was too busy to do.

Cupcake sighed slightly. Sammy was beautiful in her own way, and the fact that she'd be built what was the most popular social spot for alternative types and small bands as a young adult was impressive. She had passion and vision. She was waking over to her table. Oh fuck, thought Cupcake.

"Hey, do you have a moment to chat?" Asked Sammy.

"Absolutely. What's up?" Asked Cupcake. She tried smile nonchalantly.

Sammy smiled back. "You run the bakery right?" She didn't wait for an answer. "I had an idea. Right now I get some baked goods, muffins and things, but it's a company that's out of town. I thought it might be good showcase some local products. Is that something you'd be interested in? We could sell muffins, cupcakes, pies, cakes-anything you think would sound good. We can negotiate the price, and I could some signs-'Proudly serving sweets made by Cupcake's Delites'" Sammy said all this with her usual mix of tempered energy and determination.

Cupcake gave a real grin back. "That would be a wonderful, and I absolutely interested. Give me your current menu and I can brainstorm some ideas about what will taste good with your drinks, and I can get a tasting menu going."

"Great! I can't wait to see what you come up with." There was a sudden crash of glass coming from the back. "I should go check on that. You enjoy the rest of your evening, and I'll drop the info off at your bakery tomorrow."

"Sounds good. Good night." She waved Sammy off. Her chest fluttered. A chance to show off her sweet desserts and to work closer to Sammy. Could she be so lucky?
