The two tyrants stood in front of each other, their strange eyes glaring  down at one another.  One’s eyes were lit like the fires that would  soon burn the land, while the other’s had that signature yellow gleam in  them. The frill of the blue tyrant started to slowly stretch out, and  he lowered his neck, starting to shake his frill in an intimidating way.  Kaji did not seem phased by this though, and only snorted a smoky puff  of breath.

“So… It seems like the time has come…” He purred slowly, lowering his head as well as if ready to charge.

Draco grumbled angrily and swayed his hybrid tail. “So it has… But you’re not winning this battle.”

“…We  shall see.” Kaji hissed, his jaws grinding down awkwardly due to the  missing teeth, and causing some sparks to ignite in his maw.

At  that, the duo roared and charged at each other, jaws agape and ready to  snap down on each others’ necks. But as Draco went to bite down on  Kaji’s neck, the huge acro moved at a surprisingly quick speed, dodging  the attack and landing a bite on Draco’s arm. The blue tyrant let out a  roar of pain and barely got a grip onto Kaji’s thick and scarred flesh,  shaking his head violently like a shark. Kaji only laughed and released  his flames from his throat, burning into Draco’s arm and causing the  beast to pull back sharply in pain. He kept his grip on Kaji though,  pulling him with his immense strength towards the ground. But Kaji  wouldn’t fall for that trick again, and he roared, shooting flames  upwards at Draco’s neck. Draco released another roar of pain and let go  of Kaji’s skin, shaking his singing frill as the membranes started to  disintegrate. Draco furrowed his brow angrily and slammed his foot on  the ground, gathering the moisture in all of the air, land, and  underground, sending it up into the sky via a thundercloud.  Kaji  frowned deeply and prepared himself, knowing there would be no time to  lunge forth again.

However, as Draco collected the  moisture in the air, he collected groundwater into his mouth,  concentrating it into a small ball of water. As it swirled and hovered  in front of his jaws, Kaji hissed in displeasure and started to rumble  the flames in the back of his throat. Finally, Draco shot the water beam  out at Kaji, roaring in the process as Kaji shot out his concentrated  beam of fire. The two beams slammed into each other and hissed  violently, steam, smoke, and both elements starting to splash off  towards the sides. Neither one backed down from their beams, but Kaji’s  fire was hotter, and it started to slowly dominate Draco’s water beam. A  frown creased over the side of Draco’s jaws, and he snapped his mouth  shut to stop the water, ducking swiftly as Kaji’s flame beam shot above  him and burned a huge, black hole in a nearby rock formation. The  weakened rock started to crumble underneath itself at that, and Kaji  snapped his maw shut as well, growling angrily at the other Chimera.

Neither  one wanted to take a breath, and at that, they lunged for each other  once again. However, before their jaws met, a quick flash of a  transformation occurred, and the duo slammed into each others’ human  forms, Kaji creating a second flaming arm to grip onto Draco’s hands.  The duo skid against the floor and growled angrily at each other,  gripping onto each others’ hands and trying to prove who was stronger.  But even as Draco was starting to win in the strength battle, Kaji’s  fire arm started to hiss into and burn the metal plating that wrapped  around Draco’s palm. With a  strained frown, Draco’s push started to  weaken, and Kaji released a low chuckle followed by a smirk.

“Well now, looks like your about to have a closer taste of the FLAMES~!” He roared, glowing throat visible again.

Draco  grunted in pain from the searing heat in his hand and quickly rolled  away just as Kaji blew out flames from his mouth at the Chimera. Draco  was barely able to dodge them, noticing that his kimono had caught on  fire. Swiftly, he ripped it off and frowned deeply at Kaji, who’s fire  arm was now starting to disappear. The flaming Chimera laughed lowly and  stood with a sly smirk at Draco, ripping his raggedy jacket off as  well, and revealing his multiple burn scars along his torso and right  arm. The duo stared at one another for a bit, their chests heaving  slightly as they tried to catch their breaths. Kaji made no move to  hesitate any longer though, and he launched forwards with flames  igniting from where his feet once were, sparking teeth bared and smoke  trailing behind him. Draco swiftly took out his katana that was at his  hip, charging forwards as well with dirt and grass kicking up behind  him. When the duo clashed, Kaji raised up his arm swiftly to stop the  blade from slamming into his head, doing a sort of karate move to curl  his arm around the blade and grab it by the edge of where the blade and  hilt combined. Draco’s eyes widened in surprise at seeing this, both of  his hands on the hilt of the blade while Kaji’s entire arm had seemingly  wrapped around the sword. But as Draco tried to pull back and start  slicing into Kaji’s arm, the flaming Chimera swung a fire arm at him.  Draco swiftly released his blade and ducked under, tripping Kaji and  causing him to fall onto his side roughly. The fire arm was doused, and  Draco swiped his sword away, slicing into Kaji’s bicep just a bit. The  monster growled in slight pain, but only chuckled shortly afterwards,  looking up at Draco as he was about to stab his sword downwards into  Kaji’s head. But as Kaji laughed, his flames were ignited and shot  straight up into Draco’s face, causing the latter to grunt and stumble  backwards, trying to flick the flames from the strands of hair.

Kaji  took this opportunity to lunge forwards at Draco with flames igniting  his whole body, grabbing the man by the throat and slamming him into a  nearby rock formation. Draco grunted in pain at this, holding onto  Kaji’s bleeding arm and trying to get free. The flames were starting to  peel away Kaji’s skin now, and his lips were slowly curling up,  revealing that hideous smirk that he always wore. The bright orange  blood started to drip onto the ground, leaving black burn marks in the  grass and starting to move dangerously close to Draco’s legs. Draco  huffed upon being choked and raised a foot off of the ground by Kaji’s  one arm, glaring down at him as his armor started to melt and peel away  from him due to the heat.

“How do the flames taste,  Chimera????” Kaji hissed, his teeth completely bared now and black burn  marks starting to appear on his cheeks.

“Spicy… But not spicy  enough!” Draco countered, headbutting Kaji and causing the latter to  roar out, stumbling backwards onto the ground.

Draco  instantly started to dash away and rip his armor/kimono off, but Kaji  growled, leaping high into the sky about  4 stories and roaring out  loudly, shooting flames in a circle around Draco. The latter skid to a  stop upon seeing flames rise up in front of him, the roar of the  crackling fire causing Draco to grit his teeth in frustration. As he  whirled around to look back up at Kaji, he had already slammed back down  into the center of the circle, slowly and ominously standing up in the  billowing flames behind him. His matted, pale blonde hair covered most  of his face, but as he turned it just slightly to glare at Draco with  his flame-orange eyes, it lit up into a bright white coloration. Draco  flinched a bit upon seeing the flames grow around the monster, and he  huffed in anger, shooting a quick glance at the darkening sky. Kaji  didn’t seem to notice as he started to slowly trudge over towards Draco,  but when the latter started to straighten himself up, the flaming  Chimera stopped in an irritated curiosity.

“….You know what would make your flames taste better, Kaji?” Draco suddenly asked, a slow smile curling onto his lips.

Kaji frowned, not liking the grin the tyrant was giving him. “…What?” He spat.

“If you add water.”

At  that, Kaji’s eyes widened and he roared out, lunging forwards as he  transformed into his Acro form, jaws gaped open to Draco with a  seemingly desperate attempt. Draco smirked and released a roar as he  transformed as well, the duo slamming into each other and the water bolt  slamming down into Kaji, the rolling of thunder heard all throughout  the land. Louder and stronger than any of Kane’s appearances, the water  in the lake started to flood the ground as the whole world seemingly  shook.  Flames and steam shot upwards into the air, exploding with both  sparks and water droplets as the loud roars of the elements clashing was  heard. It was as if a spectacular elemental display of fireworks was  going off, and before anyone knew it, it all started to die off. The  sounds of the hissing water droplets was the last thing that emitted as  the steam subsided from the area, and the ring of fire started to die as  well.

Revealed in the haze was the scattered remnants  of both Kaji and Draco, their arms and legs in all sorts of places, and  only Draco’s head, attached still to his torso, was the one thing that  had remained intact. A slow breath came from the Chimera’s nostrils as  his dying yellow eyes glanced around at the blurry carnage. With one  last glance towards the sky, he saw his thunderclouds dissipate.

“Ariana…. I will see you soon……. Jade…. Shrike…… I’m sorry…”

With the final breath, Draco closed his eyes.

Suoh  perched on a high rock formation as he witnessed the full fight. He had  been there from the beginning, for he knew one of them was going to  die. What he didn’t expect was to see his brother fall to the flames…  The hybrid didn’t know what he should have done. He merely stared. Now  his last family member was dead… He had no other way to react now, other  than stare at the empty air in front of him. A black haze started to  surround his figure as he soon felt nothing but grief weighing down his  chest…

Pathetic.

And weak.

A swirling, glowing orb started to  appear near Kaji's torn body, manifesting into what looked like a Tupa.  For a long moment, the pale eyes of the flying reptile stared into the  beast's dull orange ones. Mouth permanently gaped open as a snapshot in  time, the monster was dead.
As quickly as the Tupa had appeared in a  flurry of light, black smoke started to rise from the ground up to the  Tupa's crest, completely engulfing it in the godlike clouds. Again, the  Tupa merely stared.

"You have failed for the last time,  Chimera... I pray that Orion takes good care of you." The creature  stated in a hauntingly soft voice.

At that, the Tupa spread its wings and took to the skies, leaving Kaji's body to the scavengers.

A dark place. Strange yellow eyes glowed in the abyss. Where am I?

Nothing existed in this realm. Yet how am I?
A glance to the right. Kaji. What was he doing here?
The beast glances over at the other.
"So it seems that we are both dead, Chimera." The fire breather stated.

A glance forwards. Something large stands ahead.

A deep, booming voice, as deep as the abyss itself, speaks. "Welcome, my children... I will take good care of you..."

A bright light.

Genesis. Kala.

Ariana.

I see them. I can hear them. I can feel them. They really are here.... Finally.

A  glance to my right again. The once terrifying beast gives me a nod and a  smile. I am confused. I start to move forwards on my own, not giving a  glance back to him. All I want to see is Ariana.... Her smiling face.

One turn and I see Kaji and Kala with smiles. They are happy.

I look back to Ariana.

And I am happy too.
