The soft pitter-patter of rain drummed on the roof, creating a rhythmic calming sound. The rito sighed and placed her bow on the table. One more day and she should be arriving in Eldin.

Her name was Alba, and she was looking for a certain Goron who was supposed to be giving her something important for her to deliver. She didn’t know what.

Gorons lived in Eldin, a place with the exact opposite climate as her hometown in Hebra. Hebra had cold, frozen mountains and Eldin featured lava lakes and unbearable burning temperatures. Alba had to drink a special potion in order to not immediately catch on fire or overheat.

Once the rain stopped, she would make the final stretch to reach Goron city. It was much faster for a rito like Alba who could fly, but it was still quite the journey. Plus the hotter the air got the harder it was for her to fly.

For now, she would stay in this stable and watch the rain fall.

“Where are you headed?” A voice questioned, prompting Alba to turn to see an elderly Sheikah clutching a broom.

“Eldin.”

“You are pretty brave, then. Not many people can handle the heat.”

Alba nodded. “I have potions.”

The Sheikah squinted at her for a moment. “You look familiar somehow. But I can’t put a finger on it.” He sat down beside her.

She noticed that the man had a mechanical eye and arm. She shivered a bit, remembering the terrible robots called Guardians that almost destroyed her town and all of Hyrule a few years before. The sheikah’s arm and eye were made of the same material.

“I’ve never met a sheikah before.” Alba confessed. “I think you’re mistaken.”

He thought for a moment. “Oh right! You remind me of the old champion Revali.”

Her feathers ruffled. “Really?”

“You know him don’t you? He fought against the guardians 100 ish years ago. Us sheikah live quite a long time, so I’ve actually met him before.” He laughed. “You look like you could be related to him!”

Alba laughed awkwardly. “Well, I never knew who my father was, and there’s a joke going around that Revali is my father. I don’t really believe it though.”

“Interesting. Just thought I’d say something. Look, the rain is stopped now, so you should be on your way, correct?”

She nodded.

“Good luck.”

“Thank you!”
