Originally made by a secretive man known as Christian Parker, rarely seen and fewer have met- in a quiet factory behind a high wall in the city. He toiled in secret before he surprised the nation with new obscure ideas, baffling manufacturing industries as well as revolutionizing the approach of toy inventing for the masses. Parker created Unirs; animatronic dolls rivaling human height with the theme of mystical unicorn traits. Dolls with eyes sparkling with jewels, covered in ornate gilding, who danced and sang for all the world in their performance.

Lined up in a beautiful shop window one day, framed with velvet curtains, they easily grabbed everyone's attention. They provided care and companionship and became very popular in households. Unirs became a luxury status item for the upper echelon. Many soon had one to grace their arms and families with an unrivaled beauty. They kept families company, provided useful services for their owners with their abilities, and entertained endlessly with their proclivity to sing as sweetly as nightingales and dance as effortlessly like the moon across the sky. Each unir was never alike anothe, even rare unirs with appearances rarely see, boasting of their extreme cost and attention to their creation, so tedious and laborous. When unirs are first started up by their owner with their wind up key, even their personalities differed, each having their own personality whether vain or humbled, meek or proud.

Popular for their beauty and mysterious creations, others soon started to covet them greedily. Especially the eyes with jewels unlike any other. Thieves soon stated the diabolic trend of breaking into homes of the rich and famous to pry the jewels out of unir eyes; so mesmerizing was the beauty of these gems, despite the unirs being covered in other jewels. Owners soon began the trend of covering their precious unir's eyes with cloth and fabrics, sheer enough to see through but thick enough to protect their living dolls. Some owners chose to continue flashing the eyes of their unirs off despite the possible dangers it could pose, confident in the securities they possessed to keep their precious dolls safe from harm. The more unirs an owner possesses, the greater their wealth. Unirs recognize each other and may either get along with enthusiasm or be reserved or even dislike other Unirs for personal reasons.

How they moved was a mystery, when one was opened it caused severe pain to the doll, to where it cried and writhed like a living being in pain. No wires, wheels or cogs to be found. Just hollow porcelain, like you would find in any regular toy store doll. Repairing the doll could only be done by returning the doll to the shop they were purchased from, where the mysterious creator repaired them unseen. The only thing that could be found after destroying a unir completely was in its throat, was a crystal that emitted its own beautiful voice and thrummed with a hum of the heavens. This crystal with its own strange emitting light that immediately became like any other stone when taken from unirs. When the shard was attempted to be put back into a destroyed unir, the crystal never sang or hummed again. Its thought to be the source of the unirs mysterious abilities. Putting the crystal in any other dolls beared no affect. It was a power that only Parker understood. Unirs seem to bear no knowledge of this crystal's capabilities either, only aware that it was what allowed them to dance and sing.

The crucial last parts of a unir are the unir's key and wind up mechanism. Many if not all unir's have the ability to store special and precious objects in their chests. Heirlooms, jewels and others are not uncommonly found within the dolls. The only way to unlock this compartment is with the unique key only made to that specific unir. A Unir will go to the ends of the world to follow its owner's orders, an officiated order from their master's lips cannot be ignored. Protecting whatever their owner places inside this compartment will also command this same obedience, even long after the owner is gone or the unir is abandoned. A Unir will fight or flee to protect its compartment, only its destruction will allow it to fail this mission.

The Unir's wind up key is also precious. Every owner to a Unir must wind the key once a day. This seemingly keeps the unirs alert and smoothly operational. A unir tends to rely on their owner to keep their keys wound, and typically at the same time of day. The winding can be done by another, but the Unir tends to lay this trust on those it consider to be closest to. Unirs not wound each day are notably slower in function, seem more easily confused in thought and tend to be forget. If an extended amount of time passes and a Unir is not wound, they will stop moving altogether and close its eyes, waiting for the key to be wound again. They will be functional once wound again but they will be lost and confused and will more than likely look for its old owner if their owner(s) is not around, even if a hundred years should pass. A unir's loyalty cannot be bought or swayed.
