Leveling up your gang is a key aspect of the ARPG by allowing you to traverse further through the game. Because gangs are not set up like warrior clans, no task or prompt will ever refer to specific ranks. The following are guidelines for tasks: ⊱ Written scenes must be 150+ words unless otherwise specified. ⊱ Drawn scenes must be at least a flat colored headshot unless otherwise specified. ⊱ Drawn scenes can be traditional or digital. ⊱ Drawn scenes do not require a background unless otherwise specified.

Prompts are used to develop your gang, and may be written or drawn. If a prompt matches up with a task, you may not reuse the prompt or task. Prompts are changed at the beginning of every month so keep an eye out for new ones!

Describe your territory. (409 words)

The Gentleman's Gang resides in the (fictional) Everton county of New Mexico, United States. There are four locations that the gang controls: the town (Lakerun), the mountains, the farms, and the forest. These areas encompass all five sectors, who mostly ignore each other unless in a gang.

The town of Lakerun is the most contested area, being controlled by the nobles, saucers, and ruffians in various locations. As such, certain designations have come about to ensure cats do not intrude upon another sector's territory. The Noble Households are located in the northern area of the town, which is both closest to the forest and the roads. This part of town is home to larger and richer households, some of whom compete in county cat shows, that feed into the nobles' sense of grandeur. Saucer Central is in midtown, just northwest of the downtown. This enables them to gather gossip from all parts of the town. Finally, the Outskirts are primarily located in the worse-run areas of town, near the pine forest. Most of the ruffians that live there are outcasts from the rest of town society but have contacts with the foresters and travelers nearby.

To the northeast of Lakerun is a deciduous forest, home of foresters and travelers. Though the forest has no name, there are two landmarks of note: the Silent Lake and the Midway Meetpoint. Silent Lake is close to the hills and is home to a small community of foresters who guard Lakerun from the east. Travelers often come from beyond the hills and the Midway Meetpoint is a pair of dead trees that signals to cats that they are between the farms and Lakerun. For this reason, cats coming from the Sunlit Ravine and beyond will often go to the Midway Meetpoint in order to avoid getting lost.

To the northwest of Lakerun is the Sunlit Ravine which signals the beginning of the mountains. Some hardy forester groups live here although are smaller and more isolationist than other foresters. Travelers rarely come from the mountains due to the harsh environment that can be a death trap to the inexperienced.

The Goddess's Claws are to the south of the Outskirts, encompassing a small portion of Lakerun and the forest. The majority of the Claws's territory is further south, in a nearby city.

The Sanguine are a nomadic group that are typically two days away from the Gentleman's Gang. They are nearest to the Goddess's Claws.

Draw or write one of your cats getting into an argument with another member. (247 words)

"What's wrong with my posture?" bristled Leia, getting increasingly irritated with Cappuccino. She had only met him a few days ago and he was criticizing her posture of all things??

"Well," said Cappuccino thoughtfully, "it looks like you're always about to fight. Too defensive. You should be more relaxed, more confident. Tail up, head up!"

Leia snarled. "Well I'd like to see how your fancy posture helps when you get into a fight with a ruffian!"

Cappuccino blinked once. Slowly. "I'd never get into a fight," he said, confused.

"Bah, you're impossible," growled Leia, turning away from the noble. An appropriate name for him, she thought nastily. But she was generally classed as one too, due to her lifestyle in a house. Never mind that her human never took her to any shows or did more than take care of her and play with her. No special training like Cappuccino claimed he had received. None of that "proper stuff".

"But how are you to show that you're a noble, the model cat?" asked Cappuccino, winding his way towards her face. "If you keep sulking about like that, they'll never know!"

"WELL MAYBE I DON'T WANT THEM TO KNOW!" yowled Leia, startling Cappuccino who flinched, jumped away from her, and instinctively raised the fur on his back before he regained control.

"Well..." said Cappuccino quickly. "I'll talk to you tomorrow! We'll try again!"

Leia made a disgruntled noise as she turned her back on him and walked away.

Describe your founder's opinion on accepting new members. (164 words)

Cappuccino has no problems whatsoever with accepting new members. In fact, he welcomes it and strongly encourages it. His first targets are other housecats, both showcats and simple pets, because he believes that the proper nobles must teach the others how to behave. His explorations have made him extremely interested in life outside of the Noble Households and he has grown to believe that his mission is to keep his town safe and acting as any self-respecting cat would.

Because of his views, Cap would be permissive in new members continuing their old behaviors for a time. If they do not begin to conform, he will get upset although he doesn't know if he has the heartlessness to kick them out. It is, however, more likely that he would simply become much more controlling and do anything he can to bring this cat up to his standards up to and including forcing them into a household so that he has more access to them.
