Meetings

I'm really tired, so all I can really do is come up with headcanons for Lin, Leigh, Gianna, and Su. Lin and Leigh first met due to a spar in Hung Ga, a southern martial arts. The two of them were apart of two different 'clubs' or whatever they're called, and had an introduction session where the clubs had to integrate and meet one another before the competitions later in the year. Lin first fought Leigh thinking she was absolutely going to destroy this younger, shorter girl, only to find herself on the floor and knocked on her ass. She was instantly disqualified due to incorrect stance and inappropriate language, and so decided to sulk around and just watch the others fight. Obviously, Leigh ended up trumping everyone there, which certainly seemed to interest Lin due to her technique. It wasn't dirty or vice or laced with tricks like most of the others, it was pure Hung Ga. She didn't see her again for weeks, and it was only about five months later that the championships came along. Both Lin and Leigh partook in the matches, and ended up in the semi finals against each other. Lin certainly gave it her all, though Leigh was quicker and younger, and unfortunately that meant that joints didn't quite bend as well as hers. So Leigh proceeded. She ended up being beaten by a stranger repping from neither club, so that was that. Leigh decided to be humble and offer Lin tips, though typically she was a brat about it and declined. She did however, offer her to get some dinner after the championships were finalised, with Lin repping the bronze, and Leigh repping the silver. They had a whopper of a good night and ended back at Lin's ✌️ And from there, they'd meet up occasionally, with Leigh visiting Lin unannounced at her workplace, the police station, and Lin casually seeking out trouble nearer where Leigh worked. Lin even showed up to one of her classes in sunglasses at one point, amused by Leigh's intelligence when it came to teaching politics to college kids. Typically it was Leigh who asked Lin out first, who declined and arrested her due to vandalism of a police vehicle; graffiti on the side probably wasn't Leigh's best move. Regardless, they ended up dating.

Unfortunately, all good things came to an end, and both were too headstrong for one another. Leigh ended up partaking in more crime to get attention. She ended up losing her job and having to move out of her apartment and into Lin's, which was the first problem. Relationships were all fine and good until you find out what it's like to live with them. Lin was always organised in a very special way, whereas Leigh didn't mind moving things around every once and a while. They drove each other mad, with yelling and arguments and the occasional spar out of anger. Though this time, it was Lin who always won. She ended up with broken knuckles and a bleeding nose at some point, which as a bloody hard thing to cover considering most of her colleagues were detectives. But yeah, pretty much, it wasn't good at all. Their relationship was deteriorating a fair bit, but neither of them wanted to admit it.

Leigh, being lonely all day at Lin's decided to go out more, just as Lin stayed later and later at work. Leigh went from cafe to cafe, gym to gym, bar to bar, eventually settling at a nice bar that happened to have a wonderful singer/dancer performing often. She was instantly enthralled by her, loved her bedroom eyes, her short grey hair, she somewhat reminded her of Lin. The difference was the demeanour, where Lin was rigid and austere, the performer was gentle and found humour in most things. She was dangerously elegant, and apparently found Leigh's charm just as enticing. That was when Leigh started to have an affair with the performer, a singer and dancer who went by Su would had actively pursued her rather than vice versus. Her touch was kinder, charm more apparent, and whilst she'd usually spend afternoons being yelled at Lin for being messy and lazy, Su entertained her with dancing and singing, teaching her the same moves she performed.

Lin on the other hand ended up meeting a sweet girl named Gianna, one who struggled a lot with domestic abuse and manipulation from her previous boyfriend. She couldn't help but adore her, for her innocence was intoxicating, and Lin couldn't help but love her. She'd helped her away from the abuse she'd suffered, visiting her at her apartment to check up and inform her of the status of the case, even long after its closing. Gianna was terribly kind, and Lin bought into it and found her interest in Leigh furthering itself every day.

Both still loved each other, and they most certainly still enjoyed the others embrace, their heads were just somewhere else from their hearts. And boom. There's some info.
