- Don't do it! Please! Just...

He lost his chance to stop her by physically pulling her away from the door a while ago and he was severely regretting it. Now, if he gets close to the exit and gets sucked out, his unprepared wings would get ripped to shreds and that'll be it.

- I'll be fine, - she said, teetering precariously on the edge on the doorway and not looking at him, - See you later!

Then she jumped.

Kyle was the first fairy to burst out when it was announced that it's safe outside, the storm has passed and the sun's visible again. He was up above the valley in an instant, looking at the beautiful scenery and being completely unable to appreciate it at the moment.

Now, Torny was probably fine, just like she said. She was a wind fairy, a speed fairy, so her wings would be able to withstand whatever gusts of air come at her. Still, he had no idea where she could've ended up as a result of throwing herself at the mercy of a dust-damned storm.

Kyle breathed in and out, trying to collect himself, then hoped that his intuition and magical search affinity will serve him right and darted in a completely random direction.

It took him less than he was afraid of, thankfully, as finally one of the purple blips of color in his vision turned out to be Torny, comfortably lying down on a big leaf. It was a bit too convenient to be a thrown-by-storm landing position, so he could reasonably assume she made an effort to move here on purpose, picking a constrasting-colored background so he could spot her easier.

- There you are, - she murmured.

- Was it worth it? - he asked, helping her stand up.

- Absolutely, - she was tired, but, for the first time in weeks, very, very happy.
