To: Eden From: Johanna -The letter is found in the mailbox inside a lovely Valentines card featuring a Yesteryear black and white photo of two young girls giggling and hugging each other-

To my dearest friend, First of all, how are you? It's been a little while since I visited. I know you are busy cleaning house and setting fire to every snowflake in sight. Winter was always a difficult time of year for you. But I just wanted to send you this letter to thank you for being such a wonderful, dear friend. It seems like we've known each other our whole lives, we might as well have, and I have been grateful for every moment of that time. You've always been so supportive and loving of me, so much more than anyone should be. Even in those many, many times where life seemed too much to bare, you were always right there. You've done so much over the course of these years, more than I could ever begin to thank you for. You are a simply fantastic mother who has helped me raise my own children, you were a supporting and loving friend in those nights where I called you in tears because the weight of my worry was growing too much for me to carry on my own. You've never judged me or thought ill of me, even in the things you didn't understand. I know how much you dislike Armin, I can see it on your face when I mention him, and yet you came to help him whenever I asked you too, you watched over Keisher and Heth when I needed you too. Despite your opinion of him you always knew how important he is to me, and I cannot thank you enough for that. Now that he is back I promise to let you know everything. You deserve to know after all you've done for the both of us. Keisher thanks you too. You've done so much for her already, taking care of her and letting her stay with you those many many days where we fight. Sometimes I wonder if you are a better mother to her than I am. But I'm dragging this out far more than it should be, I'm almost out of space. But thank you Eden. For everything. You are the dearest friend I've ever had, that I will ever have, and I am thankful everyday to know someone as wonderful as you.

From your dear friend, Johanna
