From a young age Kochev hasn't had the most normal life- seeing as he was the next incarnation of the King of the Dark Woods. He was born a half elf to a human family in a human desert tribe. An innate connection to this forest lead him through the early years of his life whenever he was unsure of a decision, however his biological family (Specifically his brother Marvek) did their best to raise him as their own despite his elvish ears and strange behaviours. Alongside that when he was five years old, it was revealed to him that he was chosen to also be the successor of the Celestial Dragon. His life went quite downhill when he was seven years old, the people of the holy tower had finally managed to locate him and were quite enraged at how his tribe hadn't told them earlier. There was only one survivor of the punishment dealt to the tribe- Marvek, who had returned to a destroyed wreckage of home. Kochev was taken away to the holy tower to be indoctrinated into their ways and hopefully carry out their will as they saw fit. Unfortunately, that was not the case as he could not undergo the same procedure as most people there thanks to his connection to the Celestial Dragon. He experienced a stressful life during his time there, eventually choosing to attempt to perform the procedure on himself. He was stopped by the Celestial Dragon but damage had already been done as he had locked away any memories of his family, forgetting about any relatives he might have had as well.

There was one positive on his stay there, and that was that he was finally close to the forest that he eventually deemed his true home and family. His connection to the hive mind allowed him to process the amount of stress and suffering he endured from his life in the tower. It told it about its life before this incarnation, the ways of the forest, and while he wasn't fully into the idea of the hive mind he did cling to it.

Due to the intense amount of magic that flowed through his veins from not only his forest heritage, but also the Celestial Dragon's blessing, Kochev was quite unstable in his abilities and would occasionally draw far too much magic for a spell, causing quite the intense effects on whatever he attempted to do. Which in turn, caused him to accidentally teleport himself outside the realms and into a different world.

>Start the whole return bit

A century after Kochev returned and was revived in his new body, he had been promoted from prince to king, leading the forest and its newfound people (The forestborn) into a small and simple society that was intertwined with nature. He found them strange and amusing to watch, but the burning instinct they all shared directed them to a bigger goal than just simply living their lives. Somewhere about fifty years after his return Kochev started to slowly move and spread the forest into different areas. Inconspicious, only in small amounts. Nothing to really worry about, but in certain places he suddenly allowed it to rapidly grow like a weed. He convinced people to join the forest, although it is not very clear if those people were willing to join or if they were forced to join and had a fabricated loyalty towards the forest afterwards. Either way he was taking over and deemed it the correct way of life- One unity that lived in harmony with eachother. Those outside the forest feared him and his brother Marvek disapproved deeply of these actions. While at first they discussed these actions peacefully and Kochev occasionally did do what Marvek asked him to do, sometimes he didn't or simply ignored his wishes. Eventually this lead to what is essentially a constant war between the two where neither want to kill eachother and thus never cause the killing blow.
