super tired right now so imma finish this tomorrow maybe

"Every child is born of sin. And mine was no exception. Condemned to the darkness of his father's mistakes, he wanders his own world, his own limbo. I can't escape him, as he can't escape what I've done. I never meant for any of this to happen." Nakaru looks at his son's picture, tears rolling down his face, leaving stains in his fur. They hit the floor and break his concentration. The rain is pounding against the window. "I keep reliving it, when will my torment end?" He asks himself. The memory is vivid and fresh in his mind. He can't let go. He pulls out his phone, and dials a number. It rings for a few seconds before someone picks up. A soft female voice answers the phone, "Hello?" Nakaru lets out a deep sigh before saying anything "I can't stop thinking of him again."
"It's late, can't we do this tomorrow..?"
"Evelyn..."
"You're right, I'm being insensitive. But it's been 9 years. You need to let this go."
"I can't, don't you think I've tried?!" Nakaru's voice breaks, tears flowing more violent than before.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that."
"It's ok," He wipes tears from his eyes, "I know you're tired, and I know I can be bothersome."
"No, you're not bothersome. I'm just tired. Anyways, do you want to come over for some tea or coffee? We can talk."
"That would be great. Thank you for inviting me."
"Of course. See you soon."
"See you soon. Bye."
The line goes silent. She must have hung up. Nakaru lays his phone on the windowsill before going to his room to change. He puts on a clean shirt and pants, and lightly brushes his mane. He can't be bothered to do anymore with it. He leaves his room and picks up his phone. The rain is still pouring. He opens the front door and takes a deep breath, taking in the smell of the rain. Shivers run up his spine, the weather was exactly the same on that day. Every drop of rain falling in the same place and making the same sound. "I need to go see Evelyn," Nakaru reminds himself. He grabs his keys and heads for his car. He doesn't bother to grab an umbrella, the rain won't hurt anything. Stepping out into the rain, he shivers once more. It is nearly frozen. He briskly walks towards his car and tries to open the door, "Dammit! It's locked." He fumbles with his keys trying to find his car key.
BEEP BEEP
The car door unlocks and he rushes in, quick to turn it on and turn on the heat. He sits in the car for a moment embracing the heat before starting to back out of the driveway.
