Nefertitai's Story

I ran. I ran as fast as my little feet would take me over the hot sand of the Lost Desert. The goons that chased me got closer with every step. I raced through the desert for what felt like days. I was breathing heavily as I approached the palace gates. I knew someone there could help me. I beat my wings heavily and flew over the gate. "Try and get me now," I thought. To my amazement, every one jumped over the gate with ease. I ran faster, but right as I got up the steps, I felt something pierce my side. I looked down, and found a huge dart. I began to feel dizzy, and fell down onto the dusty desert floor...
