Cherish Prompt 3 2020

The disaster quartet (plus Vela) continued to look around the island in the morning. Vela just had to show them everything the island had to offer. “Look! Surfing! Baking! Sand castle building!” Vela had said to them all morning. They were all slightly annoyed, but Nibiru was the brave one to speak up, “Uh yeah, tour guide lady.. thank you a ton for your tour of the island, but we were wondering if there were any rescue cases that needed to be taken? Like treasure hunting, rescuing lost individuals, et cetera.” Vela looked at Nibiru quietly for a few seconds, then burst out laughing. “You really came here looking for rescue team tasks?? I thought the rumors about you four being a rescue team were well- just rumors! I thought you guys were vacationing here. Believe me, this is the most relaxing island ever, and you will not find any trouble here-“ Vela was explaining before she was abruptly interrupted by skidding paws. The five of them looked up to see two Lycanrocs with fearful expressions. One was a midday lycanroc and the other was a midnight lycanroc. They were both panting hard, “Vela! Youve got to help us! A band of criminals that only made themselves known a few minutes ago kidnapped someone and are demanding we give them all of our food and money to free the kidnapped Pokemon!” The midday lycanroc explained. The midnight lycanroc noticed the exploration team, “I hope the rumors about you four are true! We need your help!” The rescue team looked at eachother and nodded.

“So.. we are doing a rescue mission for Pokemon that spread rumors about us?” Solar said snarkily. The team was preparing to go off and getting ready. Lunar was honestly just done with Solar, “We always need to help a Pokemon in need! I cant believe you’d think of not helping a kidnapped Pokemon just because of a few rumors, and the rumors werent even harmful, and they were true!” Lunar snapped at Solar. Solar huffed and bared her teeth at Lunar. “Dont act like you run this team, Lunar. We both own this team and I can give my opinion on something if i want to.” Lunar hissed, “Hold youre tongue, Solar! We need to rescue this Pokemon, no matter what. We cant let the band of criminals get away with this, and we cant let the island inhabitants pay the ransom, either.” Solar sat down and huffed, she was shut up for now. Lunar started to direct Equuleus and Nibiru into asking around the island for more information about the band of criminals, the kidnapped pokemon, and the location. Once they had gotten enough information, they packed all the resources and materials they needed and Vela, who knew the terrain well, guided them onwards to where the band of criminals were. The team padded warily onwards. As they slowly began to realize Vela had begun to slow down, they realized they were slowly entering enemy territory. They were prepared for anything. Except for maybe a reconciliation between Lunar and Solar.
