"Ah, you've really let the place go, my son." Came a voice that Pine hadn't heard for many millennia. It was a voice that immediately set Pine on edge and his jovial nature from his prior conversation dropped in an instant.

"Letting two of your creations run wild and believe they're on your level? This isn't what I told you to do at all..." Pine whipped around to be met with her. She held a deceptively sweet smile. "But I'm not mad. Just disappointed. Who's the boy-toy? I don't think I've met that one yet." She said, gesturing to Styx, the assistant that stood just to the right and a little behind Pine.

"Hello, Khaos. What brings you here?" Pine replied, not at all masking the edge in his voice. He could sense Styx and the girl next to Khaos tense up, but the brightly-painted goddess herself seemed as relaxed as ever.

"Hmhm, your manners have deteriorated since we last talked. I go by Satu nowadays. Khaos has become somewhat of a frowned-upon name, it doesn't sound friendly." Khaos, or supposedly Satu, said, beating around the bush. A typical move for her, Pine thought to himself. "But I suppose, I'm here to warn you out of the goodness of my heart, Pine."

"...Of what? Just tell me and get out." Pine questioned. He hated how he always had to do this with her. The same old song and dance where Pine had to tease any and all information out of her.

"Oh, well, Fleur and I have suspected that there's someone out there trying to kill the gods and take their place. If we let something like that happen, all the worlds will end." Satu said, her face darkening. "I don't know if you quite understand the gravity of the situation, Pine. I've already alerted the Twins, The Greedy One, The Sinner and The Saint, and The Dreamed. My protégé and I still have plenty more worlds to hit."

"...I see..." Pine murmered. "Is there anything you have to go on?"

"No, the only clues I really have is that they've been in my shop, thus my being able to sense their presence. I'm trying to contain the situation, but..." Satu looked downcast. "I don't know how long it will work. I feel like it's someone on our level... And even gods can be killed by other gods. But where they came from is a mystery... I was the only creator this powerful. I hope this solidifies how serious this is to me."

"You should alert the others. I think The Chasm would be a pretty vulnerable target at this time." Pine said. He was admittedly very scared. This was an emotion that Pine had never seen on Satu before, ever, and it worried him.

"Well, I'll be off." She gave a wry smile to Pine. "Stay safe, my child."

She stepped through a door that hadn't been there before with the girl next to her, Fleur, Pine supposed, and was gone.

"You too, mom." Pine said, feeling an odd mixture of fear and a sense of lonely emptiness. He turned to Styx. "You should tell everyone to be alert for suspicious activities, but don't scare them, okay?" He requested. "I have something to do."

"Of course, Master Pine." Styx said, bowing slightly at the waist and taking off back inside.
