Species Lore: Kitsunes

Basics:
>>Kitsune are fox-like creatures with strong magical abilities
>>They often appear as young teenage men/women with black hair and either green or gold eyes (depending on if they are of dark or light lineage)
>>Kitsunes are born with only one tail, and gains one more tail with each 10-year span of age gained

Trickster Magic:
>>This is a special kind of magic special to kitsune, where the user is able to create illusions and traps that appear much more real than common glamour magic

Light VS. Dark Kitsune:

Light Kitsunes

>>Light Kitsune are the common red and white foxen beings, having holy affiliations and are commonly benevolent and helpful creatures
>>>>These kitsune are incredibly rare as they were almost hunted to extinction for a combination of their beautiful coats, and the myth that they bore or turned into their darker, more trick-loving cousin species

Dark Kitsunes

>>Dark Kitsune on the other hand, are black-and-green, and often much more finicky and cruel much like the tricksters in common kitsune lore
>>>>These ones have practically the opposite problem, being so overpopulated that they are usually considered the “rats” of the monster community and often are hunted down

Strengths:
>>Incredible speed and senses
>>Strong magic
>>Quite adept at glamour
>>Resistant to disease

Weaknesses:
>>Usually are unable to hide all of their monstrous appearance
>>Often considered “evil” and aren’t trusted
>>Weak to canine vices
>>Magic can be uncontrollable depending on how much training a Kitsune receives
