The gloomy morning was quiet, crisp and cool. There were drops of water on the foliage left over from the rain earlier that morning and the fog was rolling in. Spring time in Washington was often known to be wet but Raspberry didn't mind. Lemon on the other hand would have preferred to stay in bed but the dogs and chickens had to be taken care of.

"Wait," Raspberry took her mates upper arm into her hand.

"Please..."

Lemon sighed and got back into the bed and rolled toward Raspberry's longing eyes. Lemon hesitated a moment looking at her beautiful mate. The way her soft, speckled neck feathers were shining in the dim morning light, how perfectly her beak curved, and how the stars couldn't match the spark she got in her eyes when she looked at Lemon.

"What is it..? Do I have something on my face?" her voice took on a frantic note at the thought.

"Oh, no! I was just admiring you..." Lemon quickly retorted.

Lemon's beak slightly open she moved forward, and gently kissed Raspberry. "Okay now, I've got to go do some chores." Lemon gets up again but, only to be pulled back down.

Raspberry moved her hands to the sides of Lemon's face and pulled it toward her, kissing her again, slowly this time and full of passion. Lemon, couldn't go now, and she knew it. Raspberry's roaming hands brushed past her neck and slinked down to her lower back.

"Please baby?, It won't take too long."

Raspberry sighed and let Lemon go, but not before she got one last peck on the cheek in. "I'll make breakfast then, while you're doing that."

Lemon smiled at that and sat up in the bed. She rubbed her eyes then continued to slip on some slippers. Raspberry got up then, and made her way toward the kitchen. Lemon watched her walk away, for obvious reasons.

Lemon got up and made her way down the hallway, to where Raspberry was already pulling things out for breakfast. She then walked through the almost completely empty living room and through the front door.

Lemon then went and opened the chicken coop, it needed cleaned again, she assured herself she would do that later today. The geese greeted her with happy honks and the ducks and chickens started waiting at the small closed door excitedly. She opened the smaller door so all of her pets could get outside.

She then went and got some feed then entered their area. They swarmed around Lemon's feet knowing that breakfast was soon to be had. Lemon began tossing the grains around and they all began running toward every which way it was tossed. Meanwhile the ducks and geese were taking their morning bath in the small pond.

Lemon, finishing the bird chores at the moment went back inside, and let the dogs out into the backyard. She then sat down on the small futon in the living room, waiting for her lovely mate.

A moment later, Raspberry was sitting next to her and gently rubbing her back. "Hey, wake up. Breakfast is ready."

Lemon rubbed her eyes and stretched wondering how much time had passed.

"If you don't get up I'll carry you into the kitchen." Raspberry playfully threatened.
