How They Met

Lilith's fingers curled under a small rose and plucked it from its vine, leaving just the bud of the flower in her hand. She smiled gently, putting the rose carefully into her hair.

She walked over to sit down on a bench and watched as the wind blew the leaves of the trees softly, as her hair did the same.

Footsteps sounded behind her as a person walked by and sat down onto a bench parallel to hers, seemingly to cool off.

"Are you alright?" Lilith asked, intrigued.

The person looked up, and then looked to the left, seemingly avoiding her question.

Lilith looked at her feet. Maybe it would be best if she left her alone for a bit.

As Lilith was about to leave, a voice sounded from behind her.

"Wait." The voice said.

Lilith turned around to see the fallen angel standing up next to the bench.

"Yes?" Lilith asked, the gate to the garden now open.

"Just stay here a bit longer." The other girl said, sitting back down once again.

Lilith and the person spoke a bit, and Lilith finally got her name,

"Karael. I like it!" Lilith exclaimed, smiling.

Her eyes opened wide as she stood up,

"I've got to go," Lilith said, getting up.

She took the rose from her hair and put it into Karael's.

"Take that as a present from me," She said with a grin, then she left.
