Amidst the outskirts of an old, broken down town stood a silhouette upon a hill. A shrouded woman was leaning against a large boulder, running her claws against a metal file while she waited. Her face was positioned towards the town, her ears straining for the sound of approaching footsteps. Four unique souls approached from the southern side of the city, making their way towards their designation. "Well, well, well.." Sanguine said, "So you decided to show." She added, lowering her file ever so slightly. "A group of misfits... and every one still alive." She smiled with a small scoff, "Pity." She placed her file in between her breasts, stepping away from the bolder as she stared down at the small group of four individuals below--Helios, Crow, Anubis, and Valentina. "The time of the riders has come, boys." She spoke, resting her hand on her hip. "You can join me, or you can return to your.. cushioned lifestyle." She tilted her head, watching them as the continued to approach. The fact that they were here said enough, but they always had a second chance to change their mind. "I wouldn't mind having a world to myself. That is, of course, if I even leave one." She giggled, "So.. What say you?"

Anubis turned his multicolored gaze behind him every now and then to make sure that his companions were following after him, before Sanguine's voice brought his attention forward. "Pity? Disappointed that we're alive? I brought everyone here as requested." He questioned with a raised brow as he stared at San with a sharp stare, his arms crossing over his chest. He lowered his gaze momentarily the moment she put away her nail file, before his attention returned to her face when she spoke. He listened to her words intently before his attention shifted back behind him momentarily. They had all come this far but you could never be sure about who would change their mind or not. He, for one, would be joining. He wasn't so sure about the rest, but something told him they would be joining them as well. "Having a world of our own does sound quite appealing." He commented with a small smirk before he walked forward a few paces and turned around to face the others, waiting to see what they would respond with. "You can count me in, of course."

Since he was informed of the group’s revival, Crow was even more quiet than normal, musing over the news in the methodical, meticulous way he typically did as he followed after Anubis, hands shoved in his pockets and a hunch to his shoulders that made him appear more birdlike than usual. Aside from all the casual banter between Sanguine and Anubis, the female Warden did have a point to make, one that was emphasized by her last three words. If any of them had ever had second thoughts about joining the old Syndicate, now was the time to bring those thoughts to light, as it’d be the only chance they’d get. This was the point of no return. Unlike the other two, the idea of spearheading the genesis of a new era as one of the rulers of said world, although appealing, was something he didn’t quite share as much interest in. Crow didn’t care who the hell ruled the world, or whatever, so long as he was left in peace to dissect people or take their organs and such as he pleased. Besides, the very idea of leaving the fate of the world in the hands of a violent, temperamental sadist and an unhinged woman was appalling to Crow, at the very least. Crow tugged at the collar of his shirt to expose the syndicate mark carved into his neck. “I didn’t agree to have this permanently engraved into my flesh only to reject the responsibility that comes with this mark. I will join you as well.” He said, his voice quiet. Removing his clawed fingers from his shirt, he withdrew his hand back into his pocket and went to stand with Sanguine and Anubis.

Helios wasn’t surprised to find that the four horsemen had been trying to rebuild the syndicate. They all were like a fungus you couldn’t get rid of, resilient until the very end. Unbuttoning his dark blue vest, the medic reached for the flask he hid in a secret pocket. As the four approached the embodiment of famine, Helios downed the liquid within with ease before returning it to its special compartment. He hadn’t been paying attention to the banter between Anubis and Sanguine, but it would more than likely not interest him anyways. An offer to turn back was quickly tossed into the air. Like he’d travel all this way just to tell her in person he wished to refuse their offer. “And leave all the fun of destroying everything and everyone in your hands? I don’t think so.” He said, taking his place beside Crow. “Besides, if the world is being thrown around for grabs, I’d like to be on the winning side.”

Fallen leaves littered the walkway, bathing it in dark red and orange, as she stepped on them with a satisfying crunch. The dim street lights were on, a few flicking to give off that dark theme. A familiar yellow glow when she noticed a figure leaning against a large boulder, capturing the vixen's attention as she stood in between Helios and Crow. 'Why are we here exactly?' was the first thing that ran through her mind, but it wasn't long until Sanguine began to explain that the guild was returning, the time of riders was finally here. Something she remember from the old guild, an event they were preparing for and it appear this...was that time. The very goal Valentina had in mind since their disband, finally accomplished. Yet something about it didn't feel quiet right, it was all rather strange being with everyone again after so long. Everything had moved on and one would be foolish to imagine even one thing would remain the same as before. Yet her friends were all wiling to accept the offer before them, chatting about as if they never missed a beat. But it was all too obvious to vale, the gaping hole she felt between her and them. The four wardens back together for an important mission, given to them by the Gods. Where Helios and Vale stood on a different level, ranked below when just moments ago they were all ranked as equals, living about their lives as there was no one above another. A frown covered the female's features, watching as one by one, each agreed to rejoin the guild, as though being given a choice. Looking at the mark carved upon her shoulder, she couldn't help but feel as though the choice was already made for them. They were bound after all, yes? A small sigh escaped the vixen's lips as the four stood side by side, waiting upon her answer weather she would be joining or turning away, leaving them all once again but this time...for good. "Now now, Sanguine~" She let the female's name roll of her tongue like honey. "You sound so disappointed." A wicked gleam crossed her expression as she slithered her way around the males, making her way close to the female warden. Standing slightly behind, Vale reached her hand out to cup San's chin, tilting it towards Vale's own face. "If it's a vixen like you ruling the world, how could a female like me refuse?" Nipping at warden's ear before letting her hand reach for the file in between her breasts before pulling away. "So guess you can count me in~" She waved the file, knowing this would be the first and most likely last time she would be able to do something like this to a warden and get away with it. "Does this mean I'm a rookie again?"

Up close it became apparent that Sanguine was not who she once was. The first thing Vale would likely notice, if the others hadn't already, was a long, slender demon tail swaying behind her form. That tail seductively slid up Valentina's leg, lifting her dress ever so slightly as she held Sanguine's file between her fingers. Sanguine turned her head towards the succubus, her demeanor calm and composed. Within seconds Sanguine's hand shot outward, grasping at the female's wrist. Long, dragon-like talons slowly revealed themselves from sheaths at the tip of her fingers, curling towards Vale's skin. She reached up with her other hand, taking the file from Vale's grasp. "Unless you would rather be my slave." She purred, releasing her hold over Vale's wrist. "I could always use a new pet." Her head slowly swiveled, acknowledging the others as they stood beside her. She turned in place, heading in the opposite direction of the town. Sanguine lead them through miles of dead forests, crossing several kilometers that encompassed hours of walking. When the moon reached its highest point in the sky they would see a garrison on the horizon. They would no longer live underground like rats. The garrison was comprised of several stone buildings surrounded by wooden pikes and heavy, wooden walls. Like their old guild this place had tents beside the buildings and a training ground outside. There were a handful of new recruits already waiting for their return, including the ever infamous embodiment of Death himself: Charon. When Charon came into view Sanguine lifted her hands, an impish smirk enveloping her features. "I told you I'd find them." She cooed.

Charon waited inside the garrison with several recruits, slowly pacing back and forth with his hands behind his back. He waited for what seemed like hours, anticipating his fellow warden to come back with what she had promised. He almost doubted that they were able to find any of the original members from returning, but he could be proven wrong fairly quickly. Every now and then he would look back at the new recruits, conversing with a couple of them. After a few brief words and chuckles exchanged, he would turn back to the entrance to find more than one presence. She found them after all. "Well I'll be damned.." He murmured to himself with a smirk growing on his face, walking towards Sanguine and the group. "Looks like that's everyone, too." He added, momentarily gazing at Sanguine fondly before eyeing the others. He outstretched his arms to the side with an oddly welcoming grin on his face. "It's good to see you guys again! We have sooo much catching up to do."

Anubis observed as each and every one of his companions agreed to return with them towards the guild as he had anticipated they would. His mismatched orbs followed Valentina as she walked up to Sanguine and began to flirt with her, his cranium slowly shaking from side to side with a small rumble of disapproval. Despite that he continued to observe their interaction, his arms crossing over his chest. Were all women crazy? He was beginning to think so. The large brute was glad the moment they set out to meet back with Charon. He was looking forward to seeing the new recruits, and marking them all. That was his favorite thing to do. A small smirk spread across his lips at the thought, and his hand hovered instinctively over an area where he kept a knife. Burning the mark onto the skin was also an option, but he preferred to carve it in instead. His mismatched orbs fell over the form of Charon the moment he came into view and made his way over to them. "We have catching up to do indeed." Anubis responded to the other Warden with a small chuckle, his gaze flickering towards their surroundings slowly. He had missed belonging somewhere. "Also, I'm not hugging you." He decided to add after a moment, noting Ron's outstretched arms. He didn't do hugs. Not with other men, anyways.

Only one remained as Helios took his place beside the others. Valentina. Helios watched the display between the women, shaking his head as Vale removed the file from San’s breasts. She never was one for subtlety. As the five took their leave, the man found himself gravitating towards Crow. “Am I going to have to start calling you ‘Warden’ now? Or ‘Mr. Horseman of war.” He teased, resting his hands in his pockets. Hopefully what the trio had gained during their travels wouldn’t be lost upon their return. The sight of the garrison was impeccable compared to where they were before. No more musty, leaky old cave tunnels. A dual set of eyes shot open from his cheeks, making sure he took in every sight there had been to see. “You really went all out for this, huh?” The man murmured, turning back towards the others as the last warden came to greet them, arms wide open in an welcoming way. It didn’t suit the rumors he had heard about him. Crossing his arms over his chest, everything finally started to settle in. “No more late nights out in the woods.” Helios whispered to Vale, watching as the wardens all greeted each other. Things were going to be way different from before. There would be structure, rules, and being commanded by the wardens again like good little soldiers. “Yes, so much to catch up on.”

As the others shuffled to the other side as a demonstration of their agreement, it seemed that Vale was a little more hesitant to do so than the rest. Whatever it is that was bothering her, she hid it well or she bounced back quickly. Of course, that meant reverting to her usual boldness; despite all the traveling together they did, he still thought she was too bold, too headstrong, and this only served to strengthen Crow’s beliefs. He watched with a mix of mild fascination and horror as she dipped her hand into Sanguine’s cleavage and nipped at the warden’s ear teasingly. Fortunately for Valentina, Sanguine seemed to reciprocate somewhat positively. It wasn’t long after that until they set off to wherever the new camp was, as well as Helios making his presence known to Crow, gently teasing as always. Crow winced in exaggerated distaste. Although he was joking, it was a valid question. With the hierarchy reestablished, it meant he outranked Helios by a vast amount. “Eeehh. Warden, Warden Crow, Crow...do as you will. I won’t rake members over the coals just for forgetting nuanced formalities...as long as it’s not something ridiculous like ‘Mr. Horseman of War.’” He replied. Even when he was joking, there was typically a certain degree of seriousness weaved into his words. As they went further, the new establishment for the Syndicate could be seen just over the hill. As someone who had come from a land with technology that was somewhat more advanced than what was often found in this day and age, the garrison was a step up from the dank, dark sewers. His gaze breezily skimmed over the sparse furnishings, taking a mental note to himself to wander the grounds until he knew the place better than the back of his hand. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Ron approaching, a wide, welcoming smile on his face and his arms spread apart. “It appears you and Sanguine have been very busy” Crow said, eyeing the new recruits. He stared at Charon’s outstretched arms, confusion and concern written all over his face. He wasn’t sure whether the warden intended to run up to them and hug them all at once or if he expected someone to run up and embrace him instead. Either way, like Anubis, Crow was not much of a hugger.

Seduction was what Vale did best, moving into Sanguine's personal space, daring to make a move she knew may or may not go over well, but upon the attempt, she was able to grab the file from between the Warden's breasts, though it wasn't long until a slender, demon tail began to make its way up her leg, lifting her dress ever so slightly. With the gently touch came electric tingles, the desire to play. A small sharp inhale as a wicked smirk appeared over her rosy lips, enjoying the small tease San gave, the reaction was a lot better than the one Vale had built up in her head. With quick and fluid motion, a hand shot out towards her as long, dragon-like talons wrapped around her wrists, reclaiming the file from her grasp. "Nah, I'll stick with a normal ranking." Just before San's head slowly turned, acknowledging the others once again, Vale was quick to whisper "But if you ever need a female for a night..." She let the words fade away as the group began to head in the opposite direction of the town. Leading them miles away until they finally came upon their destination. Upon the first glance, it was already better than that of their first 'home.'New figures Valentina had never placed her sight upon before came into view, curiosity building as she began to wonder who they were and why they were there. But there was one familiar person she knew well, an adorable yet awkward male. "Charon! The other warden I've been dying to see again." She smiled as she ran up to claim a hug the others tried their best to avoid. Though she wished to do something more, her eyes fell upon Sanguine, knowing not to push her luck any further Quickly pulling away, she turned her gaze upon the others as they each spoke out and Helios whispering towards her ear. "Don't be so sure about that~" A confident voice making it's way out towards the male's direction before letting her bright gaze settle upon everyone and what they were all planning to do next.

It was surprisingly nice with everyone here. They all shook hands, put aside quelms with each other and opened their arms to one another as if nothing had changed over the three years that they had all dispersed. Before Sanguine could react to Vale hugging Ron, a body had slipped between her legs moving through the people like a flash of lightning. Out of nowhere something had flown through the air, landing on Crow's shoulders. If anyone were able to catch a glimpse of this wiry creature, they'd see a long slender feline body with the face of a human being with teeth like a shark, and a long golden man like that of a lion. Had they known they're creatures right, they could safely assume that this was a sphinx by the looks of it."Aren't you a tall one." He spoke, his voice booming with excitement. "I almost struggled hopping up here!" The feline wiggled about Crow's shoulders trying to find his bearings. Had the man tried to reach for him though, it would prove to be difficult to grab the being as it climbing all about the bird mans body. He circled underneath his arms, in between his legs, and back up to his shoulders. "Whats with the mask? What's wrong with your face? Are you always this angry looking?" The creature continued, tapping one of its long claws against the metal mask. "I'm Anthrax by the way, but everyone calls me Ant. What'syourname?" His words began to jumble together the faster he began to speak. "Wow! My heart is beating a million miles an hour. Listen!" With that, Ant forced Crows face to his furry chest, making him  listen to his heart beat. "Sounds like a bomb! Ticktickticktickticktick... BOOM!" He screamed, adding to the effect of an actual explosion. Running his long slender sphinx fingers through Crow's hair, he examined every strand before ripping out several. "Ithinkyoumighthavedandruf." His words were barely comprehensible at this point. With that, the creature leaped through the air, landing on Ron's shoulders. "I think I like that guy." He whispered to the man as he struggled to stay on top of his smaller shoulders.(edited)

"Busy is an understatement." Sanguine murmured as she continued heading into the garrison walls. They had done quite a bit in the last three years. This garrison was not abandoned before they took hold of it. Unbeknownst to the others, Sanguine and Charon had singlehandedly annihilated every bandit that once roamed these grounds. It was quite a show; Sanguine remembered it fondly. "You'd be surprised just how.. thorough we've been." She paused, ignoring everyone the moment she saw Vale run up and hug Charon. Jealousy immediately began to boil within her, for she knew how irresistible Vale was to the other males of the group. Her claws threatened to unfurl from within the sheathes at her fingertips, but she held back once she noticed Vale turn and look at her. She could see the concern in the succubus' gaze, and it brought a small smirk to her lips. She headed past them both, turning her head to look at Vale as she passed. Had she had eyes she would have glared at the woman. Nonetheless, Vale would see a warning on Sanguine's face as the demoness headed further in, leaving everyone else behind. Her slender tail swayed behind her lankly form as she headed up a series of stairs into the main building. This building was where the sleeping quarters were as well as their mess hall. A feast had been prepared for this very day. "When you finish with your puerility you will find this place is quite... accommodating."

Cryptonoid

Charon lifted his brow, his smile faded a bit when no one would accept a hug from him. "Alright, if you say so-" He froze when Vale suddenly came up to him, his eyes widened in uncertainty when she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. He didn't hug her in return, instead he glanced over at Sanguine as well and his blood ran cold. He could see the jealousy emitting from her, noticing that her claws had unfurled. He stepped back immediately after Vale released him and averted his gaze away from her. God, he hoped he wasn't in the dog house for letting that happen. Thankfully, that awakrd moment seemed to be interrupted by a feline creature darting around the group in an excited manner. When the cat landed on his shoulders, he wobbled a bit but managed to keep his balance. "Yeah, uh.. right this way." He said, motioning the group towards a series of stairs to carry on with their day. He followed behind Sanguine shortly after, with or without the massive cat on his back.

CyanideBite

Crow staggered as something furry and large slammed into his shoulders, struggling to retain his balance. “What in the everliving fuck?” He snarled, completely taken off guard by this unexpected incident. Throwing out his arms and pinwheeling them wildly in desperation, he spread his feet out for a more stable center of gravity. He was vaguely aware of a golden blur zipping up and down his body, speaking as it did so, but the creature spoke too quickly for Crow to comprehend his speech. In fact, he could barely react at all, everything was just happening too fast, too suddenly. By the end of his extremely brief “interaction” with Anthrax, Crow was mostly left extremely perplexed, disoriented, and also slightly sore. He rubbed at his head, his eye narrowing at the lion-like creature that was now perched upon Charon’s shoulders, a soft growl rising from the irritated Warden. His attention was drawn away when Sanguine started heading up a set of stairs, Charon following after her. Turning his head around to glance over at Helios and Vale, he noticed the way they stood close to each other, shoulders inward and heads tilted, whispering in soft voices. Knowing Vale, they were scheming over something, no doubt. “Come along, you two. There is time for plans about ‘romantically’ creeping out into the forest later.” Ducking his head to squeeze through the narrow stairwell, he slunk after Charon and Sanguine.

BlazingFlames93

Anubis observed as everybody got reacquainted silently, crossing his arms over his chest as his attention flickered towards the interactions of his fellow wardens. The moment he spotted Valentina accepting Charon's hug he half expected Sanguine to personally tug her away. That thought slightly worried him, but didn't surprise him in the slightest. The two could be pretty.. possessive of each other. To put it mildly. Vale should have known better than to play with fire. Although, knowing her, she likely didn't care. Maybe she just had a death wish, like half the people in this .. lively place. His brow rose as he spotted a large cat hopping onto Crow's shoulders, staring at the odd creature for a moment. It didn't take long before the weird looking feline hopped up onto Charon, and Anubis actively moved out of the way in case he was next. Who the hell was that? Why was he so annoying? With a small shake of his head Anubis headed off after the others towards the set of stairs and deeper inside the building. It felt.. kinda good to be back, so far.

Cryptonoid

Charon didn't seem to mind the fact that he had a massive cat-like creature perched on his shoulders like a pet parrot, although it caused mild strain on his upper body. He tilted his head to whisper to the male, if he was still clinging to him. "Huge fan?" He joked, referring to how excited he was to crawl all over Crow and ramble in his ears. When they were deep within the building, he could already pick up the scents of food coming from the mess hall. He was more than eager to chow down and get caught up with the others, and get everyone else introduced to the new members. They didn't recruit a whole bunch of people, but it was definitely refreshing to see new faces. He would lead the others, followed behind Sanguine, as they headed into the mess hall for their feast. "Home sweet home.." He said slowly, stepping to the side to let everyone else ahead of him.
