Umid's Collection of Writing

I have grown quite fond of a certain Asliv girl during my extended time here. She has long since dreamed of exploring the galaxy, yet has never even set foot outside of her village. In spite of her shortcomings in skill and knowledge she continues to plan for her departure with vigor, asking me all sorts of questions in hopes that it will help her once she leaves her little slice of the galaxy behind. She is remarkably determined, and seems to be making real headway in achieving her goals, despite the odds! She cites me as her most recent and profound inspiration for heeding the calls of the stars, and as such,  I feel obligated to provide her with as much useful information as possible. I plan to compile a variety of texts and documents for her, though I imagine that those focused less on history and more so on culture- with perhaps a dash of biology and technology thrown in- will be most useful to her. Even with my help,  she must still have to learn how to teach herself of the galaxy abroad; I can only teach her so much, after all.

Despite my focus as playing the role of a race-blind historian I find myself often pondering other subjects, notably those of the cultural sort. The crew that I have paid to take me from place to place makes for wonderful inspiration on these thoughts, and more often than i’d care to admit, I find myself simply observing them and their behaviors.
