Virani sighed as she sat at the Inquisition’s breakfast table, watching as her older sister the Inquisitor Siona Lavellan nibble at her food. The atmosphere in Skyhold was beyond tense, everyone knew Siona had left with Solas to some ancient ruins not far from the lake near Cullen’s home. But when Solas had returned without her and a few days later Cullen and Itylra had returned with a bare faced and a dull eyes Siona attitudes towards Solas had been hostile at best.

“Hey Boss, I was wondering if you would like to learn how to do some whittling?” The Massive Qunari known as the Iron Bull asked.

“M-Maybe some other time Bull.” Siona practically whispered before putting down her fork and quietly leaving the hall.

“What happened out there firebrand?” Varric asked as he looked at Itylra who sighed.

“She’s barely said a word about it Varric.” Itylra said before looking up as Solas walked out of the Rotunda and into the main hall.

“Is the Inquisitor awake?” Solas asked with a professional tone as though discussion the weather.

“What’s the matter Solas, worried she’s given up because of what YOU did to her?” Virani asked with undisguised Venom.

“No, I simply wish to know if I will be required on any missions today.” Solas said evenly and Dorian quickly placed a hand on Virani’s shoulder as the young woman began to stand up.

“Solas, do you really think that Siona wants to be anywhere near you right now?” Vale asked as he stood up and looks Solas straight in the eye. “You broke her heart at the worst possible time and shaken her very beliefs to their core.” He said as he looked at Solas “I have lost all my respect for you.” Vale said before walking out.

“Solas, Garas.” A voice said as the Sentinal Revas walked into the room, his golden blonde hair tied back.

“I want a word too Solas.” Itylra said as she stood up, Iron Bull wisely picking Virani up before the young elf could attack Solas.

“I shall let you speak first Da’len, you are Siona’s closest friend so you are more affected by his behaviour than I am.” Revas said as his violet eyes lanced towards the door leading to the Inquisitor’s tower.

“Solas, remember what I told you when you first started to toy with Siona’s heart?” Itylra asked as she glared daggers at Solas. “You broke the heart of my best friend, and more than that you left a vulnerable woman to fend for herself.” She said barely keeping her temper in check.

“Siona is a capable Mage, she is hardly defenceless.” Solas said before grunting as Revas punched Solas before Itylra could hit the man.

“That is not the point!” Revas snapped “You left a Vulnerable Pyromancer alone in a place where her fire magic would be weaker!” he added.

“Siona got things wrong, she thought she wasn’t worthy of you.” Itylra said as she looked at Solas. “You’re not worthy of her, she was willing to do anything for you and you broke her heart and left her in the wilderness.” Itylra said as she glared at Solas “You’re not even worth the effort to use an arrow or a dagger.” She added.

“You’re not even worth the blood that was spilled for you Solas.” Revas said with barely contained Venom.

“The Inquisitor needed to focus on the coming battle.” Solas said and Revas punched Solas once again.

“My Son will be in that fight too you imbecile!” Revas bellowed before looking at Itylra. “Assan, please leave Solas and I, what am I about to say isn’t for young ears.” He said and Itylra blinked before nodding.

“Alright, I’m going to go check on Siona and make sure she’s okay.” Itylra said before turning on her heel and walking over to the door leading to Siona’s tower, not looking back when Solas made a noise of surprise as Revas grabbed his arm and dragged him into the rotunda.

Siona sighed as she sat on the bed, her knees pressed against her chest as she looked at the fireplace, her eyes never leaving the dancing flames as she heard a knock on the door.

“Siona, Can I come in?” Itylra asked through the door before opening the door when Siona didn’t reply after a few moments and came up the stairs.

“I envy you Itylra.” Siona said after a few moments of silence and Itylra sighed before sitting next to her friend. “Cullen is a good man, he’s dependable and I can tell just from the way you look at each other that you both love each other so much.” She continued and Itylra sat quietly letting Siona vent.

“Did I do something wrong Itylra? Did I screw up and that’s why he left me?” she asked before reaching up and rubbing her now barren face. “I gave everything for him and he threw it back in my face.” She whispered.

“Lethallan, you didn’t screw up.” Itylra said softly as she pulled Siona into a one armed hug, watching as the mage who practically embodied fire itself break down and cry. “You did everything you thought was right Siona, if he is too pig headed to accept that then he wasn’t worthy of you.” She added before getting an idea.

“But I don’t even know who or what I am anymore Itylra.” Siona said before blinking as Itylra picked up her old staff.

“How about we go find out Lethallan?” Itylra asked with a small smirk. “You and I are going camping.” She said before walking out as Siona opened her mouth. “No buts!” Itylra called as she headed out making Siona blink before a genuine smile crossed her face.

“Ma Serannas, Ma Falon’Vhenan.” Siona muttered.
