The Ship Salvagers

The night sky shimmered above the beach, the waves gentle as they broke over the sandy shore; but the sands were covered in bits of rock and metal, shattered planks and twisted bolts. The reason for the flotsam leaned against a rocky outcrop at the end of the beach, a ruined hust of a ship, its prow seemingly suspended, and sharp shards of rocks gutting it. It wasn't a new wreck, of that Isa was reasonably sure, especially when Chusi informed them that no ghosts loitered, still, it was unusual that it hadn't been ransacked yet.... though, as Cam pointed out, the beach itself was not very accessible. "I think we should swim out there-nya." Cam chattered, his fluke resting in the waters; Chusi snorted and continued feeling around the shrapnel that lay on the beach, oh it wasn't that she didn't want to see what lay inside the ship, but there was so much here already. Isa meanwhile bobbed to and fro, ears twitching, his tail phasing through a large plank, the young metal dragon had not yet been salvaging yet, but Isa was excited as well, an entire ship to explore. Chusi suddenly froze, lifting her head to one side, whiskers twining as she warned Isa and Cam of something approaching them, her magic just strong enough to detect it.

Tsillah blinked, not expecting company on the isolated stretch of sand, but only arched a brow at the odd... cat? and the two dragons as Syringă chattered, clinging to her back as usual, her flukes flaring at the strangers. A low rumble tilted through her mind from deep beneath the waves, but the girl only hummed, pondering the scene. "Evenin?" she offered, one hand finding a pocket and the other atop her dragon's head as the bat like face peeked over her shoulder. She was Naki at present, though a few perpetual ghosts still clung to her, shimmering a faint distortion in the air as her tail flicked, plume shimmering in the scant light. "Come here often?" she inquired, letting her head tilt enough the longer half tumbled loose into the air and her ears flicked up in askance.

Isa stopped bobbing and turned to the homid, ears twitching as it grinned, the black orbs blinking up at her. "Hello-nya." It chirped, blinking at the small dragon on her. Cam slipped closer, his curiosity piqued. "This is our first time." He commented, his green parakeet markings shifting as he moved, wings cutting through the air though he remained settled in the watery sands. "I mean, my rider has salvaged before but i haven't, this is my first time, and i can't wait to see whats there-nya." He raised a hand towards the ship. A warning hiss sounded from the dark dragon behind, her attention on the waves beyond and what she could feel there. "That's Chusi. She's older than me." Cam explained. Isa bounced around the homid, trying to get a better look at the small dragon. "I'm Isa-nya." It said, settling in front of them, though the tail kept passing through things. "Want to join us-nya?"

"Its just Spărtură, don't worry." she assured the dark dragoness, shrugging her freer shoulder, but crouched neatly so she wasn't towering quite so far over the small... rider... curious, "I'm Tsillah, this is Syringă" she supplied, watching Isa as she bounced around them. There was no real reason not to, after all, so she smirked, "Sure, I'm always good for a swim." she admitted, "Sure Spăr'd appreciate the company anyhow." she added, unfastening a few leather bits along with the fabric draping her hip. Curious how hard it was to swim without limbs, but decided it was probably rude to ask such.

Chusi hummed in the back of her throat, but she could sense no hostility from them, turning to where Isa and Cam was she spoke quietly. "Hello." sensing that the focus had changed from the beach to the ship, she slipped into the waters, she'd been swimming often enough that it didn't bother her. She 'spread' out, floating as she waited for the others, the other dragon in the waters that she could now see more clearly. Cam turned so quickly that his fluke sent sand, and Isa rolling. "Yay". And slipped into the waters, paddling with his front hands and heading straight out to the ship. His eagerness to explore overriding everything else, but a warning hiss from Chusi had him slowing, and sheepishly he waved back at the shore. Isa chortled before righting itself, giving a good shake to get rid of the sand. "Si-nya says she doesn't sense anything other than the big dragon-nya." It commented, bouncing to the shoreline. "Will Nga-nya be okay." It asked, its body floating on the waters as they came in, ears twitching.... as it listed to one side.

The girl immediately caught the rolling creature, frowning a bit, but smiled at the question, extending an arm as Stringă swiftly claimed it, her body taking up the whole space and tail dropping to the sand, "Of course, see?" she murmured, "She's got a lobster's tail, that's how they breathe so shes fine under water." the girl explained as the dark dragoness chirped, then neatly took wing and sliced through the surface neat as you please. The girl shrugged, chuckling, but followed the bouncing 'ball' and dove in herself, instantly shifting discrete gills as her eyes adjusted to the dim, and she was suddenly sat atop a flat, tasseled head. Snorting a few bubbles but rubbed the smooth, semi-solid form, "This is Spărtură." she explained, smiling at the huge dragon, but only hugged her face as the dragoness churred, lightly nosing the smaller creatures, dragon and rider alike.

"Better swimmer than me then-Nya." Isa said, happily rolling on the water, though parts were garbled as the water took them; still its movements were sure as it bobbed along the water the rainbow hued tail vanishing at times. Suddenly the waters churned, and Chusi caught hold of Isa in her jaw, just in case, as the immense dragon surfaced; Cam, youngster that he was cried out joyfully as he rode the shifting waves. Chusi let go of her rider, and they sank a few inches before floating back up, blowing bubbles back at the dragon, the size completely dwarfing them. "-Lo-Ura-nya." Isa said, Chusi too accepted a cuddle. Suddenly Cam's voice sounded from near the ship. "I found something-Nya." His voice high pitched with excitement.

The dragon loosed a whale-like churr at the strangers, smiling, and blew a few bubbles back. Tsillah snorted as one enveloped the pair and they were suddenly both bobbing and rolling on the surface, rather than only Isa, but glanced back at the shout. Aware Stringă was already peeking eagerly around the younger dragon. She blinked, surprised, as another bubble floated past with some sort of box inside, "So did Spăr!" she called, drawing their attention as she pointed.

It took Chusi longer to correct herself than Isa, she chuffed in amusement, and immediately used her tail to help stabilise her rider, not that the blob minded, swimming towards the newly surfaced box, the bubble remaining strong around it. Isa attempted to nudge it towards the wrecked ship, and where Cam floated, his chest out proudly as he waited by the the large crate. He couldn't believe what they'd found already, the box and crate and nevermind what currently lay on the beach behind them... and, there was also a dragon big enough to help haul it back.
