Egg Hatching

Ignoring that look of theirs, Ix was actually perfectly happy that his captured prize player wasn't into continuing the joke. Such a thing wasn't to his liking either, but he'd use what he could as a bargaining chip. It'd be hell and a half to keep them off the board so that he could finish his business as soon as possible.

The friendly and cheerful look he had been sticking to did slip a little when they started a sentence off with 'no offence'. Ix's eyes narrowed for a moment and even Drik got excited in that moment of darkness that washed across his rider. Humming in pleased ways as he chirped quietly on Kaz's shoulder.

Everything calmed down of course with the mention of the egg. It wasn't a confirmation, but a hook was all he needed. Besides, in the worst case, they were interested in dragon eggs. He could get into contact with someone that could get him more to Kaz's preferences. "I was hoping you'd say that~ Drik, go get the egg and meet us in my room." aaaw-ing that he was being sent off, the dragon still listened all the same and lightly floated off the boy's shoulders.

He wasn't great at magic yet, but it was easy enough to use it to start phasing through the wall for the egg. "I'll untie you fully when we get into my room. Can't have you trying to attack anyone on the way up." Slightly implying that it was fine for him to attack Ix alone, but he just wanted to keep any more casualties to a minimum when it came to Kaz, capturing him was hard enough. If they needed to do it a second time, he'd rather not have to delay it for long with more recoveries. At least it wouldn't take them long to reach his room, no one would stop them on their way, most going about their day as usual. When they would arrive, Drik was already curled up on the bed with the promised dragon egg as well.

Watchin Ix’s friendly expression turn displeased and then back to the more playful one before. Kaz squinted at the other, wondering what dark thoughts crossed their mind because he would have said no. It left him wondering just how much of a glutton for punishment was he, as everything said this male was safe. He has some doubts though, quite a few of them right now actually. Not that he spoke these out loud, this was an inner battle he was having that the well dressed ginger didn’t need to know about.

“What does the egg look like?” He instead asked, as it wasn’t like Ix asked him any questions and his full attention was on that thought of a new dragon friend as he shuffled along with legs and arms still bound as he must have put up quite the fight. “That’s on your lackeys if I did, do they know the idea of explaining what they’re doing instead of just trying to kidnap someone?” He huffed, though having no recollection of the event, he knew himself well enough. He was rather docile outside his work, and often wouldn’t even get violent when others did with him.

He went along with Ix though, quiet the rest of the way as he stood in the room while Ix let him go. It was a well cleaned room with a very nice sized bed. The noodle was wrapped around a dark colored sparkly egg that was quite big, though he wasn’t surprised by that and he wondered if he had dragons elsewhere he didn’t know about. Placing a hand on the egg, it was warm to the touch, gently shaking before a crack formed around where his hand was. The watch on his wrist suddenly sparked, the box/rectangle shape disappearing and now numbers appeared. 720, then dropping down to 719:23:59, 719:23:58, 719:23:57. A timer of a sort it seemed that touching the egg may have activated.

“I guess I can't say no now, I hatched it.”

"You'll see when we get there." Ix brushed the question aside, wanting to leave as many mysteries as possible so that they'd have to see it for themselves before making any decisions. The next had him humming though. "Probably?" Not the most decisive answer, but he preferred honesty over everything, it made life so much easier. Especially for him, easily able to demand the same in return without being called a hypocrite.

Not wanting to entice the hired killer before they saw the egg though, both seemed fine with silence the rest of the way up to his room. Drik was more than happy to have their return. The dragon moving from his egg protecting duty to slither himself up and around Ixavier's waist to rest his head on his shoulder again.

That's when the most promising result came through. The egg apparently taking an immediate liking to Kaz. And where the phrase 'you break it you buy it' could be applied as a slow smirk spread across the ginger's face. "That you did~ Well then, let me be the first to welcome you and your new dragon for your stay, my precious new roommate."

Clicking his hands together, Drik applauded for what seemed to be a celebration with those pleased feelings coming from Ix. "Yes! Welcome! Let's have tons of fun together." Chuckling, Ix reached up to pet the excited but quiet noodle. "Now then, let's get you untied and fix up that head of yours. It'll sting juuuust a little~"
