Family Adventures

Bright rays of light beamed down on the bustling streets, people constantly on the move as the worn but well kept buildings stood high into grey cloudy sky that threatened to change from rays of light to storm any moment it pleased. Dashing through the streets, barking away, a rather small puffy creature that could be equated to a tiny bush was free and more than excited to be left to his own devices in the city. That tugging feeling of a storm could come any second also sent the excitable dragon into his mode of super excitement. With him so young, what could be done?

Not far behind him another three dragons joined him, all just as excited to be out with their rider and rider’s rider. It had been so long since their last family outing and oh they enjoyed every single one of them when they did.

King was of course the more chill one of the moment, twirling around the lingering back riders as he stared as the goods near him. He was quite a smart one, but his desire to grab fresh produce was strong. But was it stealing if no one noticed you? He thought not anyways, and would vanish juuuuuust a moment to grab a random fruit to shove in his bag when no one was paying the nice cat noodle any mind. Clover and Kane didn’t neeeeeed to know where all his goodies came from, or that’s what the noodle told himself as he went off on his ‘gathering’, mind only on the praise for such nice fruit brought back.

The other pair were with Kloud, or nearby the excitable pup as both were off on their searches in hope to please all the riders that came along today.

Kiwi, the sweet cat hen she was, but also the one who was so easily taken in to hunting. Which she indeed did. Standing on the sidewalk with her small naked feline ears twitching, they suddenly turned as a rat darted by that just flung itself from the trash can. Rats weren’t really desired for food, but they could be used to hunt bigger things! Or feed the less picky dragons who just liked meat in their diet. Vanishing off into an alley way as the rodent tried to flee from her, her rider worried not as she was often on adventures of her own when he was home.

Kross was off on his shiny hunts as he usually was. The bipedal dragon down on four legs today to scour the ground for lost coins and other shiny like coin things lost to time. His blue fur was extra soft today, as before the outing Kane was showing Jaime how to brush a kitty nicely, and to please the gingers more he was trying to stay as clean as he could. If he didn’t then when they got home he’d have to get a icky bath before he could hold the baby again, and that would make him so sad. All that wonderful built up dirt would be lost again! Shinies were the main thing in his mind at the moment though, quite successful as he weaved through legs and picked up dropped change. Even a few bills were brought in! Oh how lazy a rushing humanoid could be in the big city. Not that Kross minded at all.

Oh how all the dragons enjoyed their outings together, all letting that bubbling over emotion of pure bliss often get the best of them and even if most were older they’d revert back to their child like lack of common sense when allowed to be the dragon children as they were. Not that anyone minded that at all, Cloud and Kane such good understanding riders that allowed their teenage dragons to be babied but also explore freely as they saw fit.

Yapping away, the youngest fluff of a Kloud paused to watch Kiwi dart off. A small gasp as he started barking up a storm and was off. Being the youngest he was the easiest to forgive, he had things to learn. Or that’s what Clover told him as they were out and about, and learn he would! Or try to maybe... In the moment there was no desire to learn on the young ones mind however. Darting after Kiwi into the alleyway, the pair were off to chase rats. Or maybe rats and their older dragon sister more so.

Far behind, leisurely strolling along to enjoy the sights and vending stalls that were near them, was the group that had taken them out on the outing. The tall a dark haired demonic feline rider, the more curious but quieter of the small group who had his fingers laced with the long haired ginger other who was the more energetic and talky of the pair.

The city had so many interesting things to take in, and neither wanted to deprive their growing son of that. In the warms of the ginger was another rider, their small son who was so happy to be out and about with his fathers. The youngling’s orange ears twitched away as they took in the new noises, happy baby noises suddenly coming from him in the form of laughter and wiggling in his father’s arms as he saw a wind dragon swoop on by with a piece of bread in its mouth.

Even next to the wandering proud fathers with their young spawn was one more who usually was quite skittish in the noise but seemed to have gotten better with enough outings. A neko followed alongside them, staying out of the way of the moving legs they didn’t want to trip, but still curious as ever as their small cats ears twitched away like the rider they belonged to. Their fur was short and a mix of mostly white, orangish-brown, and black. A pink nose twitching away from the various smells it was getting. It’s pretty gold eyes were looking at everything, only pausing every now and then from the noises of people shouting close by or from a car driving a bit too close for her comfort.

“Ah, Kloud, come back. You’re getting too far ahead!” Clover called out to his younger dragon, but had his attention a bit else where as he snuggled into Kane for a moment. He knew Kiwi would keep the young one safe worst case, but he still wished the fluff of a dragon would stay close. “Well I think most of our shopping is done for the day darling.”

Pulling out a book with a small list in it, many of the things were crossed out in a red ink. The writing under it was neat but not perfect, written in a rush while going out the door before the sun became too unbearable in their desert home. Clover couldn’t say they were EXACTLY following it, but it was a good slight reminder what to make sure was grabbed while out and about.

“Is it? What about my nice magically enchanted clothes!”

“Oh, right, well the clothing shop was down this way so we’re on the right track.” Clover felt bad he forgot such an important stop but he always forgot about his sweet darling’s desire for cute and eye pleasing clothes. They were always nice, but the gay man in him always thought Kane the prettiest when no clothes were on. Not even lewd in though, he just loved that bare skin and bright color hair combo that could be had as he laid on the couch relaxing.

This city was a wonder, full of fruit stands and other vendors just waiting for their next customers. Though Clover came to this town in favor of it’s side vendors he couldn’t help but get enthralled by their ‘main’ shops too. Buildings that laid one after each other, restaurants, clothing stores, antique shops, electric and part resale stations.

“Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrow.” The neko purred out, gently touching Clover’s leg which got a slight jump from him before he leaned down to pick up his pure little maneki-neko who he was able to converse with freely even if she didn’t speak any form of human language.

“Yeah, maybe we can pick you up a collar as well. Little Komala likes to be pretty too, doesn’t she?” He purred, rubbing his face on the purring cat, getting a laugh from Kane who adored his kind and gentle husband.

“Come on daaaaarling, let’s head to that shop before it gets too stormy out.” No sooner had the irrit spoken, the sunny sky started to dim. The nice ray of sunshine vanishing as the noise of a rumbling storm was heard in the skies above.

“Oh dear, we better make a dash for it. It’s the shop with the feather on the sign.” Laying his ears back, Clover didn’t mind storms but he didn't want his son and husband catching a cold from being all damp. It would be a sad day if that happened.
