Potential Personality

For Tatsu, I'm thinking he's some kind of spiritual medium? (cliche, i know lmao) He spends his time guiding spirits to the after life - assuming they're not malicious. He's not an ass, but he can be blunt, especially with spirits.  

Ghost: "But...I loved them and can't leave them!!!" Tatsu: "If you love them, then move on. You're only making yourself miserable by staying because you know you can't be with them anymore. They wouldn't want you to be this sad over the situation and would want you to move on and be happy." 

He isn't really afraid of much, especially involving things that deal with ghosts. He is, however, afraid of loud and sudden noises. His ears are exceptionally sensitive. Their sensitivity comes from the fact that he can hear the voices of spirits - all of them rip. He is trying to learn the ability to block out voices and focus on specific ones. Although he isn't above yelling at the spirits and telling them to "shut the hell up, I'm talking to this person right now. Wait your damn turn." when necessary. 

His tail can function as an actual ouija board in the aspect of the "arrow" on his tail can move and adjust to spiritual responses to direct yes or no questions. He has "spirit vision". He has the ability to see spirits, but he is completely blind to the human world in his right eye due to the ability and its effects.  

As for his personality, he can come off as standoffish and cold. Almost like an anime thug or something. Or almost akin to Akira from Spirit Hunter: NG. People often think he doesn't care, and he doesn't upon initial introductions. Once you befriend him though, he will be your friend both in life and death. He is VERY protective over his friends and spirits. It's not their fault that they're still in the mortal realm and won't let anyone treat them poorly.  

There isn't really such a thing as "secrets" with him because of his connection to the spiritual world. Despite that, he doesn't believe everything the spirits tell him and take everything with a grain of salt. Not every spirit has good intentions, so he won't base his opinion on someone regardless of what anyone says. He interacts with people on his own time and uses that to determine what kind of person they are. 

He also has the ability of "spiritual possession." He can allow a "bound" spirit (one that is locked to the place where it died) to possess his tail/body so he can travel with them. For example, a spirit needs closure because they and a loved one died. However, the loved one moved on and the other partner didn't. The only way they can move on is to visit the grave of the released partner to obtain closure - something they'd never be able to do on his own. I'm thinking of having a marking appear on his belly when he currently has a spirit in his possession assuming the possess his tail? Or maybe have the tail fur arrow part do something to indicate it? I have to ask to see what's allowed and what isn't lol
