Shadow sees Gran for the first time

"Something feels, familiar about her.", the small bat exclaimed while examining one of the chosen candidates. It was the time to choose the team for Japan's national team. The name was going to be... Inazuma Japan. The thought of being chosen filled me with dreams and compassion.. Like a spark I was trying to search for ages. A sense of purpose. I'd try anything to get a spot.. To which we look at our friends, who were turned into rivals for only one time. Two of them were Kaz and Nathan, my captains. Another one, was a figure I could sense an aura all too familiar. It was a dark aura that tingled me with a bitter aftertaste. She was enormous, a beast of about nine feet tall, with teeth that could rip me apart any second. Her body was carefully decorated with crystals, one of which almost seemed to fully impale her right through her chest, pulsing this glowing light throughout the rest of her body. Was that giving her energy? Or.. Any different abilities? She didn't seem too dangerous considering she's doing just fine. Gran was her name, wasn't it? It seems all too familiar, it makes my head hurt. Why can't I recognize her? What's about that crystal? Is it the--

"Shadow! You're trailing behind, catch up with everyone else!", Nathan called me from afar. Ah yeah, it's rude to stare like that.. Time to get some training done.
