[CC] Jungle Gathering #1

The forest towered above them, not hard given the size of the dragons and their rider that were slowly traversing their way through it, and the lemur happily moved in the tree's above, occaisionly throwing a fruit down for them; though light was minimal at this time of night, the moon's white rays filtered down the slumbering forest, cloaking it in a etheral veil..... Not that Cam cared, he'd seen Chusi playing with ghosts enough to not be bothered, he was more interested in the lush fruit and berries that grew here... though of course the ones closer to the ground had long since been picked clean. Isa happily bounced along, occaisionly whistling for the lemur to come back.... and getting a fruit lobbed at it, much to the stila's amusement. Kyran slithered behind, occasionly poking his snout into the dark holes of a warren.... so far nothing.

Cam drew to a halt as the lemur did above them. "I think he's found a good selection-nya." He called out, waving as Isa and Kyran neared, it was a known fact (though the two youngsters had only just learned it) that certain familiars where very good at helping with certain activities... the lemur for example, was good (when trained) at finding large clusters of fruit. The faint slivers filtered down, luminating the ancient tree in silver radiance, and there, quite high up, faint colors could just be seen. Cam started to scale the tree, his front hands gripping the bark tight as he half slithered up it... not very gracefully, but he didn't care... a haul like this was to good to pass up; and though he found exploring old ruins or wrecks more exciting, he also understood that they needed food.

Kyran though chose to slither up around a smaller companion tree, its turn was narrower, but far above its own branches intermingled with that of the tree the lemur and Cam were in, it wasn't long before the much sleeker, dragon was higher up, for Cam's wings kept getting caught, the sharp scythes slicing through the branches with ease. Finally he dragged his fluke up onto a bed to entwined branches, they groaned but held, much to his relief... just as the lemur through something at him, catching it, he grinned, whiskers twitching as Kyran slithered up next to him; the larger orange fruit ripe.

Below Isa began rummaging to make a makeshit 'net' something to help hold the fruit the two dragons would throw down; the sliced off branches he moved to create a border, before gathering large clusters of loose leaves and other foliage; effectively making a soft landing for the fruit and berries that the two dragons were planning on throwing down. It also nibbled on a few loose berries before calling up. "Okay-nya." Its tail slipping through the tree's roots as it waved it.

Cam peered down, waving a hand before picking the closest cluster, both he and Kyran had been nibbling on some of the smaller ones, his whiskers dripping with the juice; guessing he 'dropped' the fruit, watching as it thankfully landed in the makeshift 'basket'... with no signs of damage from what he could see. Kyran gripped one with his tail, and slipped under Cam as the other dragon went for more... this time though the fruit went wide... landing on Isa's head. "Sorry." the melanistic dragon shouted down, relaxing when Isa simply grinned, rolling the errant fruit towards the 'basket'.

Between the two dragons, and the lemur, the collection of fuits and berries slowly grew until Isa called a halt, the gathered pile more than sufficient for them all... and... both dragons aims had improved....and Isa had only had things dropped on it twice more.... well, barring the Lemur's playful antics. As Cam and Kyran slithered down the massive tree trunk, they pressed against their rider, proud of the haul.... now to get it back to the den...
